Deep gold with an orange hue. Aroma of mixed grains with a touch of spice reminiscent of Christmas spice. Something like sweetened white bread too. Taste is mildly bitter with a touch of lingering spice. Mild carbonation. Lacks the complexity to keep up with the better beers of the style. Drinkable.

500ml bottle from the Wine Seller, Crompton: out of date when brought and drank in the afternoon sunshine in my back garden on 24th May 2023. It's only 4.9% ABV now though. Slight mist in the golden body, white crown. Floral and malty in nature, light hop action for bitterness, but mostly on the malty/grainy sweet side.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours a wonderful clear reddish brown, with fine cream foam. Aroma is malty, floral, smoked (only slightly). Body is average, with fine, moderate carbonation. Some chewiness too. Taste is fairly sweet. Final is fairly long and sweet.

Bottle after Max' funeral, Rest in Power big guy. Deep brown color with no head. Aroma is big raisin bomb, oak, vanilla. Taste is again big raisins, vanilla, wood, mild tannins, but mostly sweet. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Tasty enough for the age.
