50cl bottle. A almost clear orange golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting beige head. Aroma of carmelized malt, biscuit, red malt. Taste of mild caramelized reddish malt, biscuit, some nuts, moderate bitterness.

Außergewöhnlicher, intensiver Geruch: Rauch und Alkohol herrlich aromatisch kombiniert. Geschmacklich ist das abgeschwächter – wobei der Rauch noch am meisten Bestand hat. Erwähnenswert: Der typische Räucherspeckgeschmack anderer Rauchbiere ist nur in Nuancen vorhanden. Ansonsten Röstmalz, dunkle Beeren, krautige Noten. Schmeckt an manchen Stellen etwas medizinisch. Trotzdem erstaunlich lecker.

500ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Mid- to dark amber gold and clear with an uneven ring of white head. Malty aroma, some chewy caramel, light notes of honey. Taste is sweet just at first but there are intense hops bittering the taste pretty much straight away leading to a balanced finish. Light syrupy notes in the finish with a hint of astringency. Medium to heavy carbonation on the oily body. Pretty decent if incredibly straightforward.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a hazy light orange colour with a medium sized creamy white head. Aromas of toasty brown bread, caramel, honey, a touch herbal and hints of leather. Taste is more toasty brown bread, caramel, honey, herbal, a little spice and more notes of leather, some brown sugar and also molasses on the sweet finish. A touch of warming alcohol. Fullish body, low carbonation and smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Not bad at first but becomes very cloying by the end of the glass. Ok but won’t seek out again.

Dunkler Weizenbock mit gewaltigen 8,5 % Alk. Über den Stammwürzegehalt schweigt man sich aus, dürfte aber bei mind. 18 % liegen, also ein Doppelbock. Unpraktische 0,33 Liter Flasche – welcher normale Mensch hat einen Weizenstutzen in der Größe? Tiefdunkle Farbe, bräunlicher Schaum. Geruch süßer Alkohol. Geschmack: Röstmalz, dunkle Beeren, rote Trauben und schwarze Kirschen. Der Anflug von Kaffee und dunkler Schokolade huscht kurz vorbei. Der extreme Alkoholgehalt liefert zusätzliche Facetten, wie viel Druck da aber tatsächlich auf dem Kessel ist bleibt dabei aber größtenteils verschleiert – gefährlich, gefährlich. Zumal trotz guter Substanz erstaunlich süffig. Recht anständiger dunkler Weizenbock, der kaum Wünsche offen lässt.

Bottle courtesy of Jonas cheers mate! Had this at home Thursday 14th July 2022, listening to Steve Lamaqs Round Table on 6Music and cooking a Salmon Traybake. Pours deep gold with a white head, there is a very light haziness. Lots of sweet maltiness, herby, honey and also a nice subtle breadiness,. There is a syrupy thickness. This is a great beer, ok perhaps not the most refreshing on such a warm day, it was still 31c an hour ago, but taking my schoolboy error aside this is great.

Bottle. Clear golden, fine carbonation, tanned creamy head. Spicy herbal hop nose, forest honey malt. Medium to full dry fine sparkly body, cracker malt, light honey, good broad herbal hop counterpoint, light fruity sweetness retronasal, Very good Maibock.

Flaska från Craftbeershop. Klar bärnstensfärgad vätska med medelhögt krämigt vitt skum. Doft av säd, bröd, knäckebröd och karamell. Stor kropp, mjuk len munkänsla. Smak som doften, lätt pepprig och lite kryddig beska med drar av bränd brödskorpa. Gott
