Description
Centuries of brewing tradition, the best ingredients and strict compliance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 are quality that you can taste with every sip! The Rittmayer Brewery is one of the oldest breweries in Forchheimer Land. The family business dates back to 1422. The brewery even received its own coat of arms certificate from the Count of Kulmbach because of its good beer.
In spring 2012, our new brewery on the outskirts of Hallerndorf went into operation right next to our filling center. It is one of the most innovative medium-sized breweries in all of Germany.

Danke HP! Grainy nose. The beer starts mild and grainy, very soft with a smooth and mild finish. Grain, caramel. Sessionable, not too much bitterness, easy to drink.

Bernsteinfarben. Geruch malzig, leicht rauchig.

500ml flip-top bottle purchased from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Light yellow, slightly hazy, a teeny ring of white head. Muted malty aroma with a little bit of lemon curd. There’s some intense bitterness in the sip but this is interspersed with a sweet, lemony, almost chewy biscuity character. Bitter finish. Takes a bit of getting used to but it’s got a fair bit of character once it gets going.

Bottle online from Raynville Superstore. Pours a slightly hazy light golden colour with a large fluffy white head. Aromas of grains, hay and white bread. Taste is more grains, hay, toasty bread, biscuits and some peppery spice. Malty but with light earthy hops on the finish. Medium to full body with low carbonation. Not bad but a bit boring.

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Hoppy, grapefruit, lemon. Taste: Hoppy, grassy, fruity lemon and grapefruit notes. Starting moderate bitter going towards medium bitter towards and at the fruity finish. Moderate sweet. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Nice one, I like the dry and bitter, fruity finish.

Fläschla: Golden, clear, smaller persistent white head, visible corporation, moderate sweetish grainy to malty nose with a mineralic twist; mild to moderate sweet flavour, light bitterness detectable; suite light bodied for a Maerzen, at least soft; sweetish grainy/malty finish with a germain delicate bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent brew, but pretty tame by franconian standards...
