Description
Centuries of brewing tradition, the best ingredients and strict compliance with the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516 are quality that you can taste with every sip! The Rittmayer Brewery is one of the oldest breweries in Forchheimer Land. The family business dates back to 1422. The brewery even received its own coat of arms certificate from the Count of Kulmbach because of its good beer.

In spring 2012, our new brewery on the outskirts of Hallerndorf went into operation right next to our filling center. It is one of the most innovative medium-sized breweries in all of Germany.

Milde Herbe, leicht unterdurchschnittlich karbonisiert, rund. Könnte intensiver sein. Okay! 9/8/9/9/11/9

Hazy dark blond/amber colour white creamy foam. Nose of peat, lots and lots of peat, iodine. Body is rather thin, smoky peaty taste with light sweet malty notes. Interesting if you like smoke and peat.

Bottle. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Hazed orange gold, with a thin, dense, super sticky, creamy, just off white head. Looks glorious. Nose has sticky, sweaty grain. Fresh bread. Wet yeast. Sweet vine fruit. Taste is super sweet. Some fruity phenols. Light, herbal bitterness. Medium body has a fair amount of oiliness. Soft and foamy carbonation. Majority of any real bitterness comes at the end. Tasty gear but a bit heavy on the sweetness for me.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before December 2021. Clear, deep orangeish amber with a thin, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity-floral and a bit grassy-spicy aroma of honey, vanilla, light apricot, a touch of grass and traces of lemon peel. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral taste of honey, vanilla, candied apricot and a touch of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy finish. Medium to full body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant Maibock, quite classic, rather sweet but balanced by some subtle hops.
