Brown colour with an off-white head. Nose is lightly malty, couldn’t pick up much more. The taste, however, is a much different story; notes of dark fruit, caramel, molasses, toasty malts and an alcohol tinge.

Purchased this at a Orterer Getrenmarkt in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany 30.05.12 consumed at friends Lyn & Barrys when invited to watch Ukraine v England match 19.06.12 Pours gold with a white head, little bit of sourness even a touch of lemon, finish is dry, taste is certainly a little citric. Possibly my least favourite of the evening. A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9

Creamy/yellow medium head over faintly cloudy foxy-orange beer. Sweet bready/leafy nose, ur-classical for a Ge dark(er) Bock. Slightly oxydated. Sweet to a dry-sih, bitterish-leafy finish. Dried apricots’ flaovur, liquerish. Slick, medium bodied, very light alcoholwarming. A good Bock with an unusual colour. Many thanks to Stefaan!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Rubyish brown colour with a mediumsized off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some slight chocolate, mild ashes and raisins as well. Flavour is quite similar with the roasted notes coming in quite well. Smooth palate and quite bodied beer, which makes it rather drinkable.

Bottle @ Home. Pours hazy light brown with a white head, lots of yeast fregments floating around, doesnt really look to inviting. Aroma of yeast, light wheat, light fruity and grassy hops notes. Taste is wheat, yeast, banana and other sweet fruit. Rather thin body, soft carbonation. 170611
