clear golden, huge white smooth head. wheat aroma, but also bitter hops, sweet malts and a flowery perfumy note. wheat and malt flavor, sweeter and slightly spicier than your usual hefeweizen. This sample mght be past its best before date, the part of the label where it is stamped has been teared away. Age might be the reason the hops are sweeter and spicier than usual - or add to the already strange flavor.

The bottle looks good but a bit complex. Beer in the glass dark orange, nice head. Starts fruity-yeasty, strong, modest sourish. Finish a bit moldy, but still quite drinkable. Good one!

The bottle looks a bit complex, but good. Beer in the glass not too zippy, small head. Starts malty and dry, a bit sourish, fruity like plums. Finish milder, still sourish. Tastes more like 4.8% ABV than 5.6%. Drinkable and not bad!

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm) Pale amber colour, hazy, with brief frothy off-white head. Malty, slightly spicy nose with notes of toast and hints of apricots. Malty, slightly spicy taste with toasty malt, apricots, orange peel and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, mainly dry but some sweetness comes through. Well balanced and quite nice.

Bottle. Fruity, citrus, estery aroma with cereals, melon. Cloudy orange color. Rather sour flavor with citrus, decent malty sweetness. Great sour edge balances well, as does the earthy bitter finish. Yeasty and rich. Great and original.

18/03 0.5 l bottle from Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden, Berlin. It poured cloudy brownish body with small white head. Honey and licorice malty nose, but also had some herbal or citrus hops. Bittersweet flavor as it could be expected, honey malt dominated over herbal hops. Thinner body with shorter bittersweet finish, exactly copying the flavor. Yes, it’s odd and although it’s fine enough I didn’t particularly like it.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Doggythedog/heavy who brought it from Berlin (thanks!)
Honey/golden coloured, small white head, odd nose with notes of honey. Sweet malty, strong honey and weak hoppy with notes of some herbs. Short sweet finish and aftertaste. Boring beer.

Bottle from Bier-Spezialitäten-Laden, Berlin, shared with the Croatian crew. Poured a hazy honey/orange body with a tiny white head. Odd stale orangey nose, slightly oily, notes of pollen. Soft, sweet taste, pollen, candy or honey. Quite odd actually.

The bottle looks very old and a bit complex. The beer in the glass fine turbid, creamy head. Starts strong, malty-yeasty, quite sourish. Finish shows woody and grasy notes, still strong, well balanced. Good beer!
