Bottle from Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy amber. Bubbly, but lasting, white head. Rose’s grapefruit marmalade. Toffee biscuit. Mouth watering, really. Taste is tinned, sweet grapefruit. But not for long. Big, puckering bitterness. Big, juicy fruit palate. Bitter, slightly clarty finish. My teeth have melted.

On tap @ Brewdog Camden. They are not lying when they call it black this. No shine through against the light and it has a really good looking heavy lacing light brown top. It has a deep grainy dark aroma. Some really nice coffee and peanuts going on here. As is a little bit of vanilla extract and leather. It has a nice light oily mouthfeel with a just below average carbonation level. Much the same in the taste really. Peanuts with coffee, rye and dark roasted malts. A nice sweetness also here and it's surprisingly leaving a warm sensation on the back of the tongue. Not bad at all! 07.11.2013

On tap @ Cask Pub & Kitchen. This is a light blurry looking one, deep orange golden in color and it has a nice medium sized just off-white head. Mild aroma with a little bit of citrus combined with a nice malt sweetness. It's also quite fruity with a light acidity on the side. Brett perhaps? Sour gooseberries and white currant juice? Smells quite nice. Yeah, it's flavorful. Really flavorful. Light oily and creamy in the mouth and the carbonation level is above average. Lots of brett flavors here. White currants, the lightly acidic type, green slightly sour grapes and leafs. Autumn leafs. Like the stingy zesty citrus touch this has. Grassy bitter tail that's refusing to let go. Quite a high quenching potential on this one. 08.11.2013

Draught @ Black Door, Helsinki
Pours dark orange with a small white head. Aroma of exotic fruits, caramely malts, some hints of berries and glue. Taste is smooth, sweetish and hoppy with some caramely maltiness and hints of berries. Finish is sweet, juicy and hoppy with some hints of caramely malts and berries. Okay, sweetish and malty, but nicely hopped IPA.

Keg at Hanging Bat. Pours hazy amber-orange, thin white head that goes quickly. Aromas are light orange, pine. Taste has some sweetness, light bitterness. Texture is thin, quite low carbonation. Finishes on a mineral note. OK, but nothing special.
