Panda at home, thanks to Kenneth, 22/04/24. Black with a good sized khaki head that thins to a swirl in time. Nose is dark malts, wood must, buggy, tangy fruits, balsamic vinegar notes. Taste comprises dried fruit rinds, earthy, damp wood, dates, light funk, tarte fruits, barnyard tones, less of the balsams than the nose. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Held up well age wise, okay tangy affair, probably more a sour wild than a stout.

Almost clear dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light palate, fairly smooth, reasonable fine minerally carbonation on the back end. Mellow dark malts, just a whisper of chocolate. The main flavours here are a pleasant and not too sweet Coca Cola along with a light touch of Balsamic. Light finish. Not bad. I'm never convinced about dark wilds and this brew certainly ain't a epiphany but it's not a bad brew by any means.

Panda at home, thanks to Kenny, 18/11/23. A weird Beard rake in late '23 ... who knew! Black with a khaki covering that veers edgewards and to a spiders web khaki effect mid glass. Nose is dark malts, herb, molasses mellow roast, touch of chocolate honeycomb. Taste comprises chocolate, pinch of salt and some liquorice as it says on the tin, dark malts, herb, light spice, toffee, fruit cake mix. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not at all ... good bitter sweet balance and has aged well.

Bottle (from Ales by Mail). Golden colour with a small creamy white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is mild floral, some fruity and a bit yeasty and wooden tones. Flavour is spicy, some zesty, mild yeasty, hayish and some grainy tones. Interesting how this brewery feels quite hit and miss to me, nothing so much in between. But that's probably just a sign, they aren't atleast doing the same old typical thing as many others.
