Amber, slight haze, dense white head, some lacing
Nose of soft fruits, citrus hop, slight grassy hop. soft sweet fruity malt
Taste of quite bitter grassy hop, bit piney, soft fruity malt background
Palate - Medium body, good mouthfeel for abv. Finish - bit of grassy hop, soft bitter initially then gets more intense with the drinking but doesn’t get too musch, good texture for abv
Overall - Hardly ’violently’ hoppy, good flavour for abv though

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; black pour with substantial beige head, tropical fruit aroma of pineapple, fruit hop come through in the taste, slightly piney with black currants and some roast coffee and chocolate.

500ml bottle. Clear reddish dark golden to amber colour, a great deal of sparkling is going on, huge frothy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Unspecific fruity aroma, hints of blood orange, orange zest. Taste is minimally tart, minimally sweet, unspecific fruity, maybe hints of orange, maybe hints of the elderflower, dry hoppy overtones throughout and dominant in the finish; lively to fizzy carbonation.

Bottled APR 2013 - Pours pitch black with a sticky foamy light brown head. Aroma of slightly roasted malts, brown sugar, cola, loads of hops and notes of coffee and chocolate. Taste is smooth, slightly roasted with notes of hops, grass, coffee and chocolate. Finish is sweetish, hoppy and bitter with hints of roastiness and coffee. Okay, quite balanced black IPA.

Aroma has lots of mocha notes and some jalopeno‐like vegetables. Flavour has mocha coffee, ashy notes and some licorice. Also some lactic notes after some sips. Feels watery, but not bad for a 3,7% beer. And not very ’sweet’.

Aroma has coffee, dark chocolate and hints of sourish milk chocolate. Flavour has milk chocolate, coffee and hints of ash in the finish.
