Папа всех Абадских элей. Если есть имя у классики из Бельгии, то имя ему Westmalle. Четкий аромат белого хлеба и цитрусов. Приятный вкус ягод и сухофруктов перебивает излишние алкогольное послевкусие. Но все каждый любитель пива обязан попробовать этот Бельгийский эль.

Аромат очень приятный, богатый и сложный, слегка сладковатый. Пена темно кремового цвета. Вкус слегка жженый. А если быть точнее жженой карамели. Также имеется винные нотки с сухофруктами.Послевкусие мягкое, фруктовое. имеется легкая кислинка. В целом намного интереснее чем его старший брат Вестмалле Трипель.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, Ermelo. Aroma is estery yeast with pale malt, fruity notes, hint of hops. More yeasty notes throughout. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Like a sessionable version of the Tripel with that typical estery Westmalle yeast.

Аромат немного пшеничный, легкие нотки от специй вроде кориандра, хотя может и кажется, не кончено много солода. Цвет обычный, мутно золотистый, пенка средняя. Вкус совершенно обычный, как не иронично но и хмелевой и солодовой в равной степени. Сначала более пшеничные мотивы, далее при глотке хмель с сухость легкой. Послевкусие легко пшеничное с хмелевой сухость но и солодовой и зерновой терпкостью. В целом обычный эль из Бельгии. Ничего плохого но и выдающегося.

Bottle from somewhere or other, its been hanging around a while. Pours light cloudy gold with moderate sized white head, some retention. Aroma is creamy, wheat, light banana, butter, yeast, spice, leafy and floral hop. A lot going on here. Taste starts quite sweet with creamed wheat, confectionary banana, apple, then the booze kicks in finishing with spices and a hoppy grassy bitterness. Its a big boozy, spicy, hoppy trippel with a fruitiness to balance. Not lacking in complexity but the alcohol distracts from more subtle notes mid-palate. Its the only thing stopping this being a great beer in my view but its still very good and recommended.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, online. Pours a dark brown with moderate sized beige head which recedes slowly to a nice top. Aroma of of sweet malts, roast, caramel, banana, yeast, hay. Taste of sweet roasted malts, raisins, banana, dark chocolate, roasty and boozy finish. Fairly smooth with a frothy mouthfeel from the carbonation. Very nice.
