Bottled. Dark copper colour, big beige creamy head. Hoppy sweet aroma with malty hints. Caramellish hoppy dry flavour. Long hoppy aftertaste. Very pleasant and surprisingly good for being 3,5.

Bottled (BB 02/2006)
Nut brown, good creamy beige head, lace. Plastic, hoppy low alcohol aroma. Watery, oaky-woody hoppy flavor, hints of toffee. Watered version of "real" Hobgoblin for Swedish markets. Propably one of the best of their 3,5 beers.

Bottle from Asda. Reddish brown colour with thin beige head. Yeasty earthy hop aroma. Ok-ish in mouth then unpleasant finish. I agree with Extra - he does need to get out more!

Bottle: Deep golden colour, thin lacing, white foamy layer; fine floral hoppiness with malty undertones and a touch of honey and citrus; moderate malty-bitter flavour; short but distinctive bitter-aromatic (herbal/medical) finish with some traces of malts, too. Good and pleasant - fine aromas !

Bottle. Dark amber beer with beige head. Malty aroma and taste, with hoppy aftertaste. Some floral tones. Original rating: 4-3-6-3-13-2.9 (050904) Rerate 060908: Copper beer with a beige head. Malty aroma with caramel, toffee and some fruity hops. Malty flavor with caramel and a malty finish. Medium body. A bit too malty for my flavor. (060908)

A pale amber beer with a small orange head. The aroma is sweet with slight notes of hops and caramel. The flavor is hoppy and malty with a dry hoppy end. A standard British beer.

Sampler from bottle at Binnyโ€™s, Orland Park, A good session beer with a pale golden color, and a light taste that puts is more into a lager category. All I can say besides, though, is that itโ€™s a bit of a comedown after all the other great beers Iโ€™ve been sampling. Needs to be enjoyed of an evening by itself.

660ml bottle from Sainsburys. Copper colour, thickish lasting white head. Touch of green apple and earthy almost burnt hops. Palate is almost stale, dusty with biscuity malts. Very hoppy finish but it is not attached to anything
