Cask (handpump) @ Hillsborough Hotel, 54-58 Langsett Road, Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England S6 2UB.Clear medium to dark brown color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roased, dusty, light to moderate hoppy, herbs dusty, notes of grape - raisin. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090417]

Cask, Gravity at Banbury Beer Festival, Oxon, 07-05-09 Poured dark brown with off white head. Roastiness was present on the nose straight away. Flavour had a fruity tang but for the most part was dry and roasty. Enjoyable beer. A7 A4 F6 P3 Ov13 3.3

Half, cask at The Continental in Preston. Copper-amber. Thin head, but great laceworks. Fresh aroma of fruity hops. Dry hopped flavour with grapefruit and earthy sweet malt. Bitter finish. A little watered on the swallow (03.05.2009).

Cask gravity at Reading BF 09. Copper, thing white head. Slightly toffeeish, not huge hop, but there, herby, some citrus orange fruits. Fine.

[Cask at Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese, Castleton, Derbyshire] Pours deep amber-brown with a medium creamy head. Tastes of malt, caramel and treacle; it’s very rich, very smooth, sweet and easy to drink. A great session beer.

Cask @ Volunteer Arms, GBBF 2008. Pours aclear golden color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly hoppy citrus aroma. Sweetish malty hoppy caramel flavor with some hints of citrus. Has a sweetish fruity malty hoppy finish.
