Description
Il y a encore quelques années, Michaël Novo construisait des installations chimiques pour un bureau d’études. A la nuit tombée, sa cuisine avait les allures de laboratoire. Il expérimentait des recettes. En 2009, l’idée de créer une brasserie artisanale germe dans sa tête. Un an plus tard, le 1er avril 2010, la Brasserie du Mont Salève ouvre ses portes.

7 3 8 3 15 Draft at BXL Beer Fest, Brussels ’17. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of licorice, dark chocolate, caramel, light brett funk and licorice. Flavour is above moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

From tap. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is wineous, fruity. Slight sourish. Toasted and smooth fruity. Mild wineous finish.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: malty, grains, bit of hay, cow fodder. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, grains, pretty bitter, hoppy, grains, bit sourish, some chocolate, pretty bitter and roasted. Aftertaste: malty, grains, some alcohol, very roasted, coffee, very bitter finish.

Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of coffee, caramel, sweetish, pretty roasted. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty roasted start, coffee, some caramel, little smoky. Aftertaste: more roast, coffee, bit sourish, bitter notes, more roast, hoppy touch, mocha.

Sampled @ RBBSG 2017. Dark brown to black color, small to average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, dark malts, dry earthy a bit, moderately bitter. Decent to medium body and carbonation.

33 cl bottle. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma is roasted malty. Breadish and slight liqourice. Bitter, roasted, dsrk malty. Dry and roasted malty finish.
