Hazy orange beer under a very good big-bubbled orangeish cream head, quite stable, leaving shards of lace. End of bottle some vicious UFO’s. Fruity, citrussy hopnose; citruspeel mainly, grapefruit, mandarine(peel). Ever so slightly catty. Bitter, hoppy, but with a nice sweet-ish underbuild, bit caramelly. Orangemarmalade. Hints at orangecookies retronasal, where the bitterness is getting more mild, if with a metallic tang. Well-bodied, very slick to oily, well-carbonated. Very good IPA, maybe just a tad too light for a true Imperial IPA.

Keg at BBF 6, day 1, 26/09/14. Clear golden orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose carries a citric zip, straw, bitter orange. Taste comprises tangy citric notes, smoke evident, lapsang souchong, spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok effort.

Draft @ Borefts 2014. Again, this Mont Saleve beer is a bit too subtle. The notes of malt, rye and hops are nice and all, but lack some character.

Draft @ Borefts 2014. Black IPA with a modest body of soft roasted malt, modestly hopped as well. It’s all a bit too french, could use some more power and character.

@ Borefts Bierfestival 2014. Black colour, brown foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, red berries. Bitter with sweet fruity hints. Unfortunately thin body and watery, also a hint of iron. Not bad but a bit too thin.

Sampled @ Borefts 2014 day 2. Lightly hazy yellow color, average sized decently lasting off-white head. Aroma is very fruity and hoppy, totally didn’t expect that. Taste lightly malts, quite fruity and hoppy again, moderately bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite nice.

Sampled @ Borefts 2014. Clear yellow golden color, small to average sized off-white head. Smell malts, smoke, a hint of peat. Taste malts, smoke, clearly some peat in there, fingerpaint. Don’t like it, and I don’t get anything IPA - ish. Not my thing at all.

Sampled @ Borefts 2014. Very dark brown to black color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, a touch of coffee, lightly hops as well, lightly roasty, decently bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Quite good.

Bottle [from trade with EricKok] @ home. Opaque dark brown color, full sized beige to light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, rye, coffee, some smoke and perhaps even slightly peat. Taste malts, dark roast, smoke, a hint of leaves, again slightly peat. Medium body and carbonation. A quite good beer I think, but smoke and peat aren’t my things.

@Borefts 2014 Hotel Room tasting, wazig oranje met witte kraag. fruitig ipa aroma’s. smaken zijn sinaasappelschil, zoet, moutig, bittertje, kruidig,matige body, glad met goede afdronk.
