Draft - Light grains. Clear gold with no head. Light grains and a touch of bitterness. Not bad.

Draft - Lemon and some grapefruit. Cloudy gold with a small white head. Light lemon some pale malts and a clean finish. Not bad for a radler.

Draught at the brewery
Golden color, hazy, barely any head. A bit smelly, wet grains, sugar, bread. Very dry mouthfeel, flavor of wet paper, grains, dry grass; moderate bitterness; inexplicable mild astringency in the final.

Indistinguishable from any mass Lager, and definitively not a Kölsch. This is just using a marketable style name without even trying to brew it (one point less for this).

On tap at Strathcona, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a medium white head. Aroma brings out dry cereal malts and some biscuit. Flavour is dry and bland, with some toasted grains. Not a whole lot going on here even for the style. It's okay, but extremely boring. C'mon guys - we don't need the nth brewery in town doing painfully monotonous styles.

On tap at Strathcona, pours a clear pale golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out light grassy notes, some biscuity malt and lightly sweet cereal. Flavour is very restrained, with grassy hops and dry crisp crackery malt. Lacking depth for the style, but it is brewed decently. Not as bad as the Italian says, but it's quite boring.

Draught at the brewery
Blond color, large bubbles. Not exactly a Pilsner, rather a common Lager, with just a bit more malts than a mass Lager, but also with a shade of paper that is not exactly exciting.
Boring.

I’ll drink Persephone Amarillo Pilsner later tonight. Besides the usage of American hops, I suggest Strathcona to taste it to feel what a good malt job should taste like.

On tap at the brewery. Pale copper with a white head. Aroma is a few tropical fruits and piney hops, malty. Taste is more intense with piney hops bitterness and malty notes. Piney, floral bitterness aftertaste. Not bad, but not enough palate.

On tap at the brewery. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is with some not pleasant chemical (phenols?) notes, hoppy. Taste is with the same notes, slightly sweet, hoppy. Flowery hoppy bitterness aftertaste, somewhat similar to original Saison beers. Would be a good beer, but those strange chemical notes... Probably some problems on production line.

On tap at the brewery. Clear pale golden with a white head. Aroms with some not pleasant chemical (phenols?), crispy, piney, flowery, looks like they used some European hops. Crispy, aggresive bitternes in taste and aftertaste. I would say it is more Pilsner, than ISA.

On tap at the brewery. Cloudy blond with a white head. Aroma is cutrusy, ascorbic, slightly hoppy and skunky. Pretty same taste and aftertaste. Refreshing. Not bad.
