April 2011. On tap somewhere in Cambridge. Amber color with almost no beige head. Aroma, malty, nuts, caramel. Taste, surprisingly very fruity, some caramel. Bittersweet finish. Good, refreshing beer.

April 2011. Cask in pub somwhere in Cambridge. Amber color, almost no head. Aroma, hops, flowers, some fruits. Taste,starts fruity, continues bittersweet, ends with long bitter finish. Drinkable.

Nitro-can bad. Very bad. Love how the description contains passive defensiveness ("we believe you will like.") As taste goes, there’s nothing much Irish or English or anything intelligible beyond a malty sweetness and the echo of a bitter finish. Oh yeah, there was a slight brine-like flavor that provided the most interest of the brew. Skip this and go get a Porterhouse Oyster Stout. (1/09)

Bottle shared at tasting. Pours clear golden with small white head. Very light aroma with a little hop. Flavor is uninteresting with very little bitterness. (Rated 2011/05/06)

Cask at the Harp. Clear, rich gold with a white foam head. Citrus, floral, light soap nose. Light sweet flavor, lots of citrus fruitiness, some dough and yeast. light to medium in body with average carbonation. Slight dry, toast and citrus finish. Good stuff.

JDW Fest. Clear amber beer, bubbly white head. So can Greene King brew something resembling a proper IPA? Semi dry palate. Fresh malt. Detectable hops - mild citrus and a whisper of peach. Dry finish. Much better than it’s little brother but nothing to excited about.

Pours clear dark copper color with khaki head. Fruity aroma with slight oak. Sweet caramel and fruit flavors with some wood and mustiness and a slight metallic taste. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Cask @ Counting House, JDW. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Aroma is light malty, a bit non-descript. Flavour is light malted, biscuit, slight hint of vegetables. Soft cookie dough. Slight bitter finish.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A clear, dark golden to amber body is topped by a small, off-white head. The aroma has lots of toffee maltyness, a little fruityness supports it. The flavor is pretty much the same, although more on the fruity side. Not very bitter. Full-bodied and quite warming. Sweet, yet dry finish with caramel, fruityness and a pleasant bitterness. Not much of an IPA, but drinkable. That’s it. 110128
