Very hazy orange - amber beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and a little crisp. Light dry malt. Mellow ginger, fruity floral more than hot. Moderate orange hops are well integrated. Light dry finish. Nice enough but both hops and ginger could be much bolder.

Hazy orange - amber beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry with modest fine carbonation. Light dry malt and light dry orangey hops, a bit wishy washy. Finishes dry with a mellow bitter linger. Okay.

Cask at Royal Navy Volunteer. It pours deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, big liquorice, coffee, toast and star anise. The taste is earthy, some bitterness, toast, massive liquorice component, dirt, coffee, warming alcohol, spice and mild acidity with a dry finish. Medium and fine carbonation. Too much liquorice fire my taste.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2014. Hazy pale gold lasting white head. Hop and something sweet aroma. It’s got a distinctive fruit flavour. Some grapefruit and pear and a little sourness. Rather a lovely bitterness. Pretty good gooseberry.

Cask at Egham USC Beer festival 2014, Egham, Surrey. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, some tropical fruit, quite bitter and boozy but pretty good. Really liking this new Dorset brewery.
