Description
The Eagle Brewery was previously a Charles Wells brewery site and became part of Marston's (Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company) wider business in May 2017. The Eagle Brewery continued to brew many of the former Charles Wells brewery brands sold to Marston's including brands such as Bombardier, Courage, and McEwan's.
The Eagle Brewery was later sold by the Carlsberg Marston's Brewing Company (CMBC) to S.A. Damm (Grupo Damm) in November 2022, though Eagle brands remain with Marstons.

Classic Scotch ale, full of caramel, toasted bread, cocoa, nuts, and apple, with a gentle bitterness on the back end and a hint of roast. Unexpectedly good. Nice.

Cask quite a few times at The Bull, Streatham as Youngs London Special (02/06/2022) - amber/copper pour with a off white head. Toasted and sweet malty, with notes of caramel, cereal, light dried fruit notes, soft cask carbonation, twiggy hoppy undertones, toasted malty and bitter twiggy hoppy close. Used to drink the original Youngs Special many years ago, this Eagle brewed version is not in the same league but still found it passable in the great condition the Bull maintains its cask.
