Uncommonly bitter and hoppy for an english bitter. Lots of zesty grass and dandelion tones and bitterness a long with a bit of citrus. Dry, fresh and bitter. Cask at Greatham Inn East Hampshire.

On cask at Nerax North. Pours a slightly cloudy deep golden color with a thin veil of soft white bubbles. Smell is sweet malty with hints of candy sugar and a spicy earthy almost citric hop aroma as well. Taste is sweet and bready malt with hints of earthy hops. Medium body with a low level of carbonation and I slick mouthfeel. Decent brew I’m glad I got the chance to try it and on cask no less.

GBBF. Cask. Hazy gold beer with a tidy small white head. Light dry palate. Sweetish pale malts. Some citrus and something that tastes like ginger. Trace of banana. Fresh and minerally but dry. Alright.

Cask at GBBF 2011, Day 3. Pours amber-gold with a small, soft head. SOme spices in the nose. Moderately sweet flavor, more spices, some ginger. Light bodied with fine carbonation. More spice to finish, some caramel malts, very faint bitterness. OK.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2011, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, fruity, dule, strange spicy, ginger - herbal. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, light peppery - ginger. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20110804]

Cask @ 3 Judges. Golden colour, offwhiteh head. Nose is vegetables, bit of malts. Flavour is malty, lots of biscuits, fairly bitter. Watery and one-dimensional. Fairly bitter finish. Really poor.
