Canned 4/28/22, drunk 5/21/22. Heavily hazy, lemon-golden-maize. Medium-small, white head shows moderate-to-low retention. Soft and juicy with lemon, sweat, rustic grains, hints of pear and pineapple. Not getting any scallion or heavy pine from the Mosaic, thankfully. Earth and mineral, with light tropical fruit from the Motueka. No alcohol, flaw, twang or weird yeast. A bit more Mosaic in the flavor, though again, it's not scalliony. Still that sweaty, piney, lemony, rather dull/bland vegetal character that is the hallmark of this shitty hop. Thankfully, Fox Farm is about as good as anyone around and does a good job with it. And the Motueka helps mitigate, adding peach, pineapple, papaya and earthy mineral. Malty, soft, well-attenuated, low bitterness, no alcohol or flaw. Lingering melon-pineapple.

Row34 draught, 5/12/22. Clear magenta-to-dark-amber. Small, beige head shoes moderate retention. Wow! This is smokey as shit! Lotta iodine. Not quite as balls to the wall as most Schlennies, but pretty damned smokey. Hard to make out too much under it, maybe some melanoidin, but whatever. This is bacontastic. Big, smokey bacon and peat with long, drying iodine on the end. Malty and well-attenuated. Clean, balanced (as long as you like rauchbier) and phenomenal.

Draught at Armbsy, 4/22/22. Good clarity in this bright, ruby-cranberry-colored beer. Pinkish-flecked, off-white head atop is small, but somewhat dense, showing good retention for the style. Nose is beautifully expressive fruit without any intense raspberry acidity that sometimes dominates raspberry beers. Even, well-lagered bacteria/yeast character with mineral and various tart funk. Malts are fairly sparse but do show some wheat-like biscuit/dough. No alcohol or flaw. In the mouth it's tart, but not too much so. Fruity, bright, playful and well-aged with an even temper and a soft, malty/wheaty texture that helps soak up some of the sourness. Touch of sweet dough with playful, bright raspberry and juicy cherry. Brett is well-developed and highly enjoyable.

Draught at Row 34, 4/2/21. Hint of chill haze to this deep brass to graham cracker-colored beer. White head atop is small, but shows moderate retention. Mild, but deep and aromatic smoke (pepper, light wood) mixes with rich, honey-dense malts as light floral and spicy hops help keep balance and add brightness. No alcohol or flaw. Strong minerality on the end. In the mouth it's soft, peppery, moderately smokey and supremely malty with excellent attenuation. Great balance, tons of flavor and growing smokiness that doesn't overwhelm, yet should still satisfy the Bamberg enthusiast in its depth of flavor. Clean and full of mineral and lingering, crisp bitterness.

Pours a hazy amber with a small oily head. Aroma of herbs, barley, cereals. Taste has more cereal, light mellifluous note. Palate has some grassy elements, grainy, soft finish with some oily resin lingering. Good.
