Can pour into tulip glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer and Wine. Appearance is opaque black with finger-width light brown foamy head with poor retention and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is subtle roasted malts, earthy hops and light chocolate and vanilla. Taste is strong roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla; balanced between sweet and bitter. Palate is full bodied with thick texture, lively carbonation and crisp, balanced finish between sweet and bitter. Overall, a really strong beer across many dimensions. Carbonation is a little too strong.

Poured from can nice orange color with a thin white head. Aromas of caramel malt grass dank citrus and pine. Taste is mild sweet caramel grapefruit pith grass and lingering pine bitterness.

Clear golden and light copper coloured body with a small, but noticeable two centimetre tall just off-white head. Aroma of fresh grassy and herbal hops, light malt, a touch of sugars and some very mild earthy notes. Light-bodied; Strong grassy and perfumey hop flavour at first with a touch of alpha acids and bitterness with a very mild malt note of biscuits and ending with a little sweetness from honey and the grass flavours. Aftertaste is very mellow and unassuming with the honey sweetness and perfumey and slightly herbal hops making this very easy to drink and super mild - it tastes less than 4,9% abv, for sure. Overall, a nice Light IPA with some nice but mild flavours and a lot of grassy and sweetness from honey at the tail end. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Hannaford in South Portland, Maine on 28-July-2016 for US$2,29 sampled at home in Washington on 16-December-2016.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane’s Beer & Wine. Appearance is clear, golden yellow, nice sparkle and finger-width fizzy white head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is light citrus and fruity hops over cracker malt base. Taste is mild citrus, fruit, resin with bitter dominance over light cracker malts. Palate is medium bodied with slick texture, lively carbonation and bitter finish. Overall, a decent look and cool lore--the pamola being the mythical creature inhabiting Mt. Kitahdin, but aroma and taste are pretty mild and the beer is overly bitter for me. Much better session IPA’s out there.

Pours a hazy brown from a can. Aroma is a mix of caramel, brown bread and orange. Flavor is primarily the spicy rye with a touch of orange and caramel. Thin. Good beer.
