Description
Twisted Barrel Ale exploded onto the Coventry beer scene on 29th March 2014.

After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.

20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Keg at Twisted Barrel, Coventry, Good Friday, 30th March 2018. Pours warm orange with white head. Fruity the passion fruit perhaps a little overdone as we struggled with this, tangy and tart and nice as good as we'd hoped. A7 A3 T5 P3 Ov12 3.0

Keg at the new Twisted Barrel (much bigger Taproom) Good Friday, 30th March 2018. Hazy mid gold with a white head. The aroma on thus suggests that its going to be much more tart, it's a very drinkable orange IPA and tastes great for the abv, really soft, a little citrussy tang when the aroma would suggest a little passion fruit. Like it. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov15 3.7

Keg at the new Twisted Barrel (much bigger Taproom) Good Friday, 30th March 2018. Pours black with large creamy texture cappuccino coloured head. There is a very nice sour cherry bite to this, it's smooth and there is a nice light chocolate bite, however I really like the tart fruity bite. Soft in the mouth, drinks very easy, good beer. On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Dorata, appena torbida, schiuma bianca media. Al naso note floreali e citriche, leggero fruttato. In bocca è morbida, un po' timida, con spunto amaro un po' fiacco... ma si beve. Corpo leggero, carbonazione media. Così così...

Can. Beer Stop, Dronfield. Very hazy, medium to dark gold. Thick, and frothy, lasting, lively, white head. Nose has pineapple flesh and skin. Some resinous notes. Some stone fruit esters. Bit of Simcoe piss and bluster. Decent backbone of creamy malt. Taste has a chewy sweetness, before getting pulpy, oily, slightly earthy bitter. Lots of body here. Foamy carbonation. Lingering, fleshy bitterness to finish. Gets better as it opens up and warms up. Super tasty IPA.

Bottle from Brewklopedia, Leicester. Pours hazy orange amber with an average sized off-white head. Aroma of malt, pine, caramel, toasting, hop and fruit. Moderate sweetness, quite heavy and slightly unpleasant bitterness. Medium plus body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Bitter fruit and pine finish. Somehow expected something a little better.

Can. Light haze on this gold - amber beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but has decent fine carbonation. Smooth light malts are fairly sweet. Nice hop fruits, a light skittles vibe. Light lime and there is traces of blackcurrant and strawberry. Smooth light pine runs underneath. Trace of spice. Nice Skittles DIPA. Very drinkable.
