Description
Twisted Barrel Ale exploded onto the Coventry beer scene on 29th March 2014.
After months of hard work developing a small selection of beers that would appeal to Coventry's patrons thirsting for our unique mix of modern and classical styles and methods we launched our beers at Coventry's number 1 bottle bar, Inspire, and it was a huge success. Originally brewing on a 60 litre kit, we described ourselves as 'the UK's first Pico-brewery'.
20th June 2015 and we held another launch. This time in our brand new Brewery and Tap House at FarGo Village. With a new 1000 litre brewing kit and an entirely new brand design from Stewart Easton, we've finally become the brewery we always set out to be. Almost 2 years later we transferred our bar and brewing kit into a space about 5 times larger than before, we're still serving the best beer at FarGo Village.

Keg at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a hazy medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is light malt, yeast, dry grassy orange citrus hop. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a crisp, fresh yeasty, light fruit, dry hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Handpump at Luppolo Station in Rome. Black color with a frothy and irregular brownish foam quite adhesive. Nose: licorice green root, burnt coffee leftovers. Mouth: clean body with a roasty roundness and a super hoppy overall.

440ml can (not sure where people are getting version numbers and hop names from, there's none of that on here). Murky dull orange brown colour with a big off-white head. Soft juicy tropical fruity sherbety aroma. Taste is the same, sherbety, citrus and tropical fruits, dank, moderate bitterness which is more than I expected for a NEIPA. Medium body, soft-moderate carb.
