Description
First brewed in Spring 2010 as the Wheatsheaf Inn based at Wheatsheaf Inn, High Street, Llantrisant, Pontyclun. It was originally owned by Celt Experience. In 2011 it brewed for a short time using the name Korev, before settling on the current name in Spring 2012 when it separated from Celt Experience. It moved to its current address in Spring 2013 where an 11BBL plant was used. Experimental beers are produced under the Hopcraft banner. Brewing ceased in early 2019.

Cask at craft beer Co Islington. A dark brown red coloured pour with a lasting beige head Aroma is tangy fruit, brown bread, apple, pine. Flavour is composed of spicy pine needle hop brown bread and toasted malts palate is rounded, semi sweet tangy, good cask condition. Ok.

Cask at Craft Islington. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, orange chewits, nectarine, tangerine and candied orange. The taste is dry, very bitter indeed, pithy orange, soapy, grapefruit, pine needles, straw and white a bit of astringency. Light - medium body and soft carbonation. Aroma is pleasant, but it is ultimately too dry and astringent. Fair.

Cask at CBC Islington. It pours clear gold with a medium white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, juicy, tropical fruit vibe, mango, apricot and passion fruit. The taste is dry, very bitter, loads of pithy citrus, grapefruit, bitter orange, pithy, zesty, straw, pepper and a touch of soap with a very dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent stuff.

Cask @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Clear golden-amber with a creamy head. Has an easy-supping texture for its strength, which is just evident behind a more dominant, but never stated sugary tropical fruitiness.

Cask at the CBC Islington for the jk tasting. Thanks to Daniel for this one. A sweaty sock, silage, grassy. Flavour is composed of grassy hop, silage, pale malts,. A pale golden orange coloured pour with a a halo of white head. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, thin. Not a fan.

Cask at CBC Islington, 06/10/16. Clear golden with a well constructed off white head. Nose is tangerine, straw, orange pith, melon, juicy hop streak. Taste comprises orange pith, light mineral notes, soft bread, straw, melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with hop bitterness. Solid hoppy sessioner.

Gravity dispense at Craft 100, 06/10/16. Clear golden with a well appointed off white head. Nose is earthy citric rinds, vanilla, melon, orange, straw, pithy citrics. Taste comprises orange pith, light pine, caramel, straw, soft bread, melon, fleshy citricana. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, juicy hop licks at the curtain call. Decent IPA.

Cask at the CBC Islington for the jk tasting . A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a a lasting loose white head . Aroma is semi sweet, caramel, piney hop, orange, sticky pine. Flavour is composed of woody bark, piney hop bitterness, Semi sweet toffee and caramel. Harsh bitterness. Not bad.
