Description
First brewed in Spring 2010 as the Wheatsheaf Inn based at Wheatsheaf Inn, High Street, Llantrisant, Pontyclun. It was originally owned by Celt Experience. In 2011 it brewed for a short time using the name Korev, before settling on the current name in Spring 2012 when it separated from Celt Experience. It moved to its current address in Spring 2013 where an 11BBL plant was used. Experimental beers are produced under the Hopcraft banner. Brewing ceased in early 2019.

Gravity dispense at Craft 100, Craft Clapham, 03/04/14. Lightly hazed golden with moderate off white spotting and edgework. Nose is bitter citric fruit, earthy dusty hop notes, light spice, orange pith, mango, tropical crush - solid stuff. Taste comprises juicy hops, bitter orange, citric pithdom, mango, pine, light bread doough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Solid APA, tasty stuff indeed, best beer I’ve had from Hopcraft thus far.

Cask gravity at Craft 100. It pours pale gold with a small white head. The nose is toasty pine, urine, orange squash, mango, grain and barnyard. The taste is crisp, bitter, piney, resin, varnish, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit and toasted grass with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, bitter and scoopable. Nice.

Craft100 fest at Craft Clapham. Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Smooth palate with mild fine carbonation. Good citric fresh orange, mango and whisper of lemon and floral hop. Dry finish. Good stuff.

Cask at Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Very dark, clear brown. Bubbly, lasting, tan head. Dark, roasty malt. Milk chocolate. Cocoa. Dark, vine fruits. Light grapefruit marmalade. Taste is light, cocoa dry. Smooth palate, complemented by the light carbonation. Dry, ashy, medium bitter finish. Very nice. Very easy drinking.

Cask at Rutland Arms, Sheffield. Lightly hazy, straw colour. Sticky, bubbly, lasting, white head. Lots of ripe peach. Tinned pear. Light lemon zest. Taste is more of the fruity sweetness to start, then a nicely restrained bitterness pops up, and lasts. Tasty gear.

Cask handpull at The Craft Islington. Clear gold lasting white head. Balanced golden ale. Decent hops. Interesting without being overwhelming. I mean it’s really good. Fantastic. Decent condition great and interesting and different hop. Some peach some white pepper. Wow impressive. Lovely subtle white pepper finish .

Cask at CASK. It pours darkest brown with a small beige head. The nose is earthy, roast, treacle, medicinal, whisky, wood, toffee and marshmallow. The taste is rich, roasty, whisky, medicinal, earth, inky, earth, charred wood with a dry, earthy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice integrated whisky action.

Cask at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. A dark ruby/brown coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Roasty, boozy, malty aroma. Tastes roasty, malty, boozy, slight sweetness, some coffee and a hint of dark fruit. Nice porter.

Cask at The Craven Arms; golden amber pour with frothy white head, malt and citrus aroma, hint of pine in the taste along with pale malts, lemon and moderate bitter.

Cask at The Craven Arms; light amber pour with thin white head, big tropical hop aroma, taste has tangerine apricot a hint of grapefruit, very nice.
