Clear dark brown beer, small creamy beige head, unstable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol, fusels, bit spicy, chocolate notes, bit oxidized, vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: alcohol, pretty roasted, bitter, little sweet, dark chocolate, dry and hoppy, quite some alcohol. Aftertaste: more dark chocolate, hoppy, roasted bitterness, more alcohol, pretty boozy, bit spicy.

Can [many thanks to KevinReddirt, IP trade in Arnhem] at home. Amber color, full sized white to off-white head. Aroma is malts, resin, piney hops. Taste malts, resinous and piney hops as well, decently bitter. Medium body and decent to medium carbonation. Nice! Thanks Kevin!

Can. A- Coriander, wheat, salty. A- Orange color, clear liquid, white head. T- Salty, coriander, citrus, tart, spices. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- A bit wit like but still a gose. Not bad. Fair amount of spice. Reminds me of a tart Hoegaarden.

So Mosaic Oaked IPA is an IPA and Mosaic IPA is an Imperial IPA? Leave it to better minds than mine to determine that. Mosaic is one of my top IPAs (Imperial IPAs, sorry) so the oaked version can only be appreciated. Bought in a pack at a close-by craft store I am fired up to try. Play some chill music in the background and pour the 12 oz bottle into a tall tumbler. It delivers a regal dark orange liquid completed by a strong eggshell white head. A sniff, there is lemon, orange and grain. On to the much-anticipated drink, well hello, it is Mosaic on steroids. Strong hoppiness without being a bomb, grapefruit, orange, cut grass, a surrounding woodiness, medium bitterness that lingers. Mosaic hops, easily my favorite, and an oak imprint make this a top level brew, my estimation. Good job Community.

Draught at my hotel: pours amber sort of color with white head. Aroma is tropical fruit with herbal and malty touches. Taste is sort of bitter and sweet and fruity. Too malty for my tastes.

Located Barrel-Aged Legion at a Total Wine in Ft. Worth, TX over Thanksgiving. I got it in a four pack of 12 oz bottles, all stamped 10/25/17 (I think), a yellow cap on each. The first cooled bottle is poured into my go-to imperial stout glass from Buffalo Bayou. It shows a dark chocolate brown accompanied by a wisp of foam that gathers around the edge of the glass. I take a whiff and get malt, black licorice, hard candy. I have a drink. Quite nice but then I am a fan of imperial stouts in almost any case. There is tobacco, baking chocolate, scorched toast, a caramel sweetness and something boozy. A slight burn and a good finishing bitterness, it sticks around. The other three bottles are now very much appreciated. Community delivers again.

On tap at Pinthouse Pizza Burnet. Pours a hazy gold with medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong yeast, passionfruit, floral. Medium body, yeast, passionfruit, wheat, dry finish.

On tap at River City Grill, Round Rock. Cloudy pale yellow with a small white head. Nose is light honey and big tropical fruit with passion fruit and mango. Light sweet with medium tropical fruit bitterness and a touch of spice. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish.

On tap at River City Grill, Round Rock. Hazy orange amber with a small short lived white head that fades quickly leaving some patchy lace. Nose is light caramel with light pine and citrus with some grapefruit. Light sweet malts with a big bitterness. Mouth is full with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. 8/3+/7+/4/15
