0,75l bottle shared by MisoW, big thanks. black color, small coffee colored head. Smells coffee, licorice, wood, some roast, rum, dried fruits, raisins, vanilla. Decent smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes licorice, charcoal, vanilla, medical, some alcohol. Finishes with licorice and rather medical. Not such a big fan, vanilla and licorice notes ake this one not a favorite of mine..

Bottle at a tasting. Aroma caramel, toffee, chocolate. Clear dark brown colour. Taste reveals a not so sweet beer surprisingly. Alcohol pokes out, warming, roasted. Also woody an only a hint of rum. Good, but too boozy for my liking and also lacks a bit of body and complexity. Still fucking great though.

On tap at One Eyed Betty’s in Ferndale. Black pour with an off-white head. a lighter aroma, roasty with slight booziness. Strong oak flavor, rum, and roasty flavor, fruitiness from the rum. There’s a lot of oak in here; I kind of wish the beer flavor came out more.

Part of their Brewmaster’s Selcetion 4-pack. Pours a clear golden colour with a white head, good stay and lots of lacing. Beautiful sugary aromas with some fruity notes and the Saison yeast. The taste is not as sweet, but almost sour but with lots of grain in the finish with spices. Not a bad brew, but nothing really special.

Pours a real dark brown colour with little copper highlights. Big beige creamy head that stays a long time and leave good dirty lace. Aromas of dark fruits, roasted malts, molasses and the light rum blending in with the fruits. Roasted malt flavours with a sharp bite from the hops and nice burnt wood that lingers. Hints of coffee over the chocolate. Wow ! This is quite good !!

Part of their Brewmaster’s Selection 4-pack. Pours a golden colour with some amber hue. Slightly hazed by tiny particles floating all around with a nice frothy warm head, good retention and creamy lacing. Aromas have a nice mix of hops, tropical fruits notes and some light grain. The taste is mild with a little bitterness and grain, but not much of a finish. Good enough for a session Pale ale though.
