Draft at GBBF 2013, day 3 - London. Pours deep gold with a light cream head. The nose holds cedar, dry citrus, pine. Light sweet flavor with hints of brown sugar, dry wood, spruce. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish with more spruce, pine, cedar wood, dried orange. Meh, kind of odd. A little too woody.

Sample at the Inventory Reduction Beer Tasting on 08/08/2015. This beer is a hazy orange-gold color with a medium thick off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and subtle hops. Medium to full body with a sweet malty character and notes of caramel and earthy hops in the background. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Better than expected actually, an above average beer.

Smoky, charred meat nose. Hazy amber, thin head. Smoke, charred meat. Dried leaves finish. Medium body, easy carbonation. Smoky, but not harsh, sufficiently malty to support it.

From the December 2014 3R6P tasting. +++ Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with an enormous foamy brown head that left decent lacing. The aroma was tart, dark fruits, a touch of vinegar and somewhat malty. The flavor was tart, tangy and a bit sour with dark fruits, toasty malts and a metallic presence. Long finish. Full and creamy body. Disappointing.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel color with an enormous foamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was tangy and sweet with dark and golden fruits and a hint of perfume. The flavor was tangy and sweet sugar, dark and golden fruits, yeast and a hint of perfume. Medium length finish. Light to medium body and very overcarbonated. Solid.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured an overcarbonated orange-caramel color with an enormous foamy beige head that lingered and left a bit of lacing.The aroma was cola, cherry, molasses and yeast. The flavor was very yeasty and bready with nut, caramel, and a hint of cherry. Medium length finish. Medium body. Very overcarbonated.

Another one from my VA haul, reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy yellow to light orange color with a slight transparency about it allowing a light carbonation to be seen rising throughout the beer. Light foamy head dissipated within about thirty seconds and barely left any lacing in its wake.
The smell had a sweet corn to citrus - slightly lemon with a light grassiness about it.
The taste was mainly sweet with a slight refreshing sort of crisp grassy edge to the flavor.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was somewhat subdued but carried a nice crisp sharpness about it.
Overall, decent blonde ale that I think I could do again.

The appearance was a black color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute leaving a little bit of lacing running nicely in a speckled sort of way around the sides of the glass.
The smell had a really nice roasty slightly robust coffee to chocolate with a lightly bitter citrus hoppiness in the background.
The taste was mildly bitter, roasty, robust and moderately sweet.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good porter that I would have again.

The appearance was a brown color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. Light lacing remained speckling around the sides of the glass.
The smell was rich and roasty through a nice nutty caramel blend. Light cocoa in the background.
The taste was enthusiastically sweet nutty and had a nice caramel to cocoa blend underneath.
On the palate, it sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. The carbonation was pretty smooth. There was a nice creamy richness coating my tongue.
Overall, this was a really nice brown ale that I would have again.
