(On tap) Ever so slightly hazy amber with a small, off-white head. A touch of caramel in the nose and a whiff of aroma hops. Medium body with some caramel and a discreet, hoppy finish. Certainly drinkable but not a great APA. 210306

(On tap) Black and completely opaque beer with a creamy, beige head leaving some neat laces. Fat, rich, malty nose. Medium body with plenty of hard roasted - but not burnt - malt. Notes of chocolate and a dry, pleasant but not overwhelmingly bitter finish. A great, light porter. 210306

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale golden with a slight haze and a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Lightly tart aroma. Very light-bodied and dry with only the faintest touch of wheat. Lightly sulphurous. The finish is more dry than bitter. Yet another boring American wheat. 190306

Pour is red with a small white head. Aroma is malty but nothing really stands out. Flavor is caramel and toffee with a touch of hops. Overall nothing to overpower but its better than Killians.

2005 (I assume) bottle from Herbjones. Awesome choice Bob! Consumed on 11/12/05. Don’t think it’s quite as dark as made out to be, more of a coppery-amber with some rusty tinges. Foamy, persistent white head is well retained and provides even spotty lacing. Clear and I believe, bottle conditioned? Aroma has a little bite of crisp lager yeast, with a touch of saazy sweatiness, hint of dry lemon-peel-like notes (no actual lemon peel in there), and a bit of sweet biscuity pale grains. Fresh minerals and a bit of lightly baked white dough. Flavor begins with a light sourdough feel, light minerals and a persistent touch of saaz hops on the end. Dry and argumentative peach, apricot and nectarine notes keep the palate busy while only a smattering of sweet honey is felt as well. Carbonation is quite persistent, creating a very foamy/over-aerated texture (but to its defense, I drank this too warm). Medium body is ample. Could stand some more hop bitterness. There’s a blurry line between a helles and a premium lager and this straddles it. Whatever the case, all areas of the beer are well-executed. Yeast retains a mineralesque and yet also a lightly biting feel well on to the end of the bottle. No alcohol apparency anywhere.

Slighty hazy orange-yellow beer with a small white rim, looks like slightly carbonized applejuice for all the world. Very neutral nose, some wheat and faint acidiy (lactic and citric acid aromas). Touch chalky. Dry, hay-like taste, some dry apples flavour, ending faintly bitterish, citrussy. Rather light, refreshing beer; yeast gives little extra dimension or MF. Not very interesting wheat, but with no doubt refreshing abilities. Thanks to Beerboy for this one.

Bottle Pours a clear very dark brown/black with the light bulb barley showing some red highlights. Just a skin of a light brown head and thin but even lacing. dark roasted aromas with lots of semiswet chocolate. Flavors are similar. Not very smokey or charcoaly but a nice rounded roasted flavor. Quite lively carbonation and lacking that common sour bite that a lot of porters have. Very nice.

Bottled. Bully indeed! Smell is mostly of a good portion of English hops. This bottle-conditioned brew pours a big brown bubbly head over a dark root beer brown body. Great bubbly effervescence. Taste is of bitter roast malts adding up to a coffee, toffee and bit of smoke. A very fine, deep roasty porter!

Would have been a little higher rating, but it is so light that it loses a little in the flavor and palate categories. It is very subtle, from aroma to palate. Lemon aromas and flavors come through as fairly strong, as does a little of spice... we’ll call it coriander since the brewery does, but it is also a little like chamomile. Light and nice for summer, but could have a bit more umpf.

Bottled, thanks beerhandy! Cloudy pale golden. Papery malt aroma. Sweet and rounded with some grassy hops alongside lemon. Drinkable and well balanced, but not with overly much character.
