A hazy deep red-brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of berries. The flavor is only slightly roasted combined with a light note of berries, and the body is thin. I find it boring, would like more power in the flavor.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear dark red mahogany with a small, off-white head. Aroma of hard roasted malt. Rather light-bodied with a high carbonation - too fizzy actually. Burned, malty accents with a rather light, bitter finish. Not really an impressive effort. 200606

I had thought oak aged DL was my 1000th, but I guess it wasn’t - now it’s this finely crafted porter - nice, slick mouthfeel - abundant roasted malts - lingering brown sugar in the background, and an almost floral hop character that is faint, yet quite present - very nice.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a hazy, pale golden with a creamy, white head. Fresh, lightly citrusy nose. Light-bodied with accents of citrus while the coriander appears rather sudued. Lightly tart finish. 010406

An opaque brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is very sweet and lovely roasted, but also with hints of alcohol. The flavor is very roasted giving it a very dry mouthfeel right from the beginning, but it also contains light spicy notes and hints of cellery. The end is dry and roasted. Quite nice. Thanks Papsø for sharing.

Bottled. Dark ruby red/dark brown colour. mediumsized brown head. Caramellish, very sweet malts in aroma along with some roasted notes. Also some dark chocolate and coffee. Flavour is strongly smoked, some chocolate, and old coffee there. Very pleasant brew. Sticky and dry palate in finish. Aftertaste is roasted and sweet caramellish/hoppy.

Bottled (BB 05/2006)
Almost opaque dark ruby, good firm creamy expresso head. Juicy hoppy aroma with roasted notes. Medium-bodied, chocolaty roasted, decently hoppy. As expected, not alcoholic, more "session porter-like". Roasted malty aftertaste. Balanced tasty porter.

(On tap) Ever so slightly hazy amber with a small, off-white head. A touch of caramel in the nose and a whiff of aroma hops. Medium body with some caramel and a discreet, hoppy finish. Certainly drinkable but not a great APA. 210306

(On tap) Black and completely opaque beer with a creamy, beige head leaving some neat laces. Fat, rich, malty nose. Medium body with plenty of hard roasted - but not burnt - malt. Notes of chocolate and a dry, pleasant but not overwhelmingly bitter finish. A great, light porter. 210306

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a pale golden with a slight haze and a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Lightly tart aroma. Very light-bodied and dry with only the faintest touch of wheat. Lightly sulphurous. The finish is more dry than bitter. Yet another boring American wheat. 190306
