Description
The Birrificio Rurale was born in 2009 from the idea of five beer enthusiasts who wanted to find the agricultural origins of beer in an area with a strong rural vocation. in mid-2012 we started planning to move. At the beginning of 2013, we started production in our new brewery, after more than three years of work and gaining experience, we decided to continue on our path by moving to a place that would allow us to manage the growing demand with greater control. Definitely less romantic than the previous premises, the new headquarters in Desio is much more functional and will allow us to offer you an increasingly constant and quality product.

Draught @ 4:20, Rome. Aroma is sweet with pineapple juice and tropical fruits. Flavour has piney tones, pineapple juice, grapefruit and citrus. Somewhat mild hoppiness for a DIPA. Easy to drink though.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2015) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dark chocolate, black coffee and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark chocolate, pine needles, asphalt and a generous piney bitterness in a fairly dry finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well made black IPA. Nice one.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 25 Feb 2015) Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Fruity, floral nose with notes of citrus, bergamot and white bread. Fruity, floral taste with citrus, lemon peel, white bread and a gentle floral bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Quite tasty for the style, with an interesting touch of bergamot. Quite enjoyable.

Draft at In De Wildeman. Pours near black with a thick beige head. Aroma of roast, citrus, orange peel, fresh tropical fruit hops solidly breaking through the dark aspects. Flavor is light moderate sweet and over moderate bitter. Aside from the subdued roast and a little chocolate in the palate it’s really the hops that are shining through. Certainly doesn’t taste like it looks! Medium bodied with light carbonation. This is a really fine example of a confused style and truly a black ipa rather than a hoppy stout.

Rurale seta5% white beer served in a bulbous snifter. It is a cloudy light gold with a thick white head of foam. Wheat, spices, coriander. The taste is with orange and coriander I am guessing this is a Belgian witbier rather than a Weizen. Once it warms up a bit I get some peach as well - tasty. Full flavored & well made.
