Description
The Birrificio Rurale was born in 2009 from the idea of five beer enthusiasts who wanted to find the agricultural origins of beer in an area with a strong rural vocation. in mid-2012 we started planning to move. At the beginning of 2013, we started production in our new brewery, after more than three years of work and gaining experience, we decided to continue on our path by moving to a place that would allow us to manage the growing demand with greater control. Definitely less romantic than the previous premises, the new headquarters in Desio is much more functional and will allow us to offer you an increasingly constant and quality product.

Draught Very good, ultrafine & dense snowwhite head over fully hazy pale yellow-lime beer; textbook lace. Orange & citrus - little or no coriander. Spicy, even tad peppery. Can’t find the bergamotte, however. Citrus, fine & aromatic flavoured, faintly spicy-yeasty. Some wheat, not overobvious. Pretty clean palate - rare for a witbier. Light body, but obvious (this time) wheatslickness. Very good in its style.

Bottle from GBBF 2014 and drunk at home. Hazy brown amber colour lasting beige head. Malty hoppy aroma. Decent amber ale. Touch of sting on the finish. OK amber ale. Does what it says on the tin. Fine. Not exciting but absolutely fine.

Sampled @ GBBF day 3. Slightly hazy orange color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops, but also a touch of "kids lemonade" and slightly sweaty. Decent body, medium carbonation.

Bottle - Caramel and a bit of funky apricot. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Tart apricot, toast and some caramel. No idea where the ’Amber’ come from, more of an odd APA.

From bottle thanks to Kenny. It pours clear amber with a small white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, piney, resins, hit cross bun and candied citrus peel. The taste is bitter, pine needles, resin, orange peel, tangerine, mango, light alcohol, juiciness and wood with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Decent.

From tap. Pours hazy orange to light brown with a huge white head. Aroma is peachy and solid grapefruity. Bitter and citrusy hoppy. Lingering fruity and crisp bitter into a citrusy hoppy finish.
