Draft - Cardamom, herbs, grains and Belgian yeast. Cloudy yellow with a thin head. Heavy cardamom and spices, ginger and Belgian yeast. The ginger and spices really overwhelm and make this taste more juice like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml bottle. Pours a mahogany color with medium head and nice lacing. Aromas of pine and toffee. Flavors of grapefruit, spruce, light caramel and toasted hops. More of an IPA. If so quite nice though light.

650 ml bottle. Pours brown with red hints and light white head. Aromas of cocoa powder, biscuit, and dry roasted malt. Flavors of cocoa, nuts, and light burnt malt, plus an odd hint of something like olive oil. A light bodied, easy quaffing porter. No explosive flavor bomb though...

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours an amber-tinged dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of slightly tart toasted malts, a bit of cocoa, and some infected notes. Flavour seems slightly infected with slightly tart notes, toasted malt, and some subtle fruity notes. Seems a bit off, but still decent.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a murky orangey amber with a small beige head. Aroma of soap, like walking into the Body Shop, not much else on the nose. Flavour tastes cosmetic as well, with soap, weak floral notes, and perfume. Drinks easily enough, but is a bit soapy. Decent enough, but average and uninspiring.

650mL bottle, pours a hazy copper with a small white head. Aroma is on the maltier side for a IIPA, with syrupy caramel malts, resinous hops, fresh red fruits, and some citrus fruits. Flavour is extremely fruity and malt-heavy as well, with under-ripe berries, syrupy caramel malts, and then some citrus and resinous hops fight their way to the front. Something doesn't mesh so well here - the under-ripe berries are quite pronounced and the malts are quite syrupy. The hops aren't that far forward - perhaps not enough were used to balance the malt? Anywho, it's decent, but quite flawed. Good local attempt at a IIPA, but needs refinement.

Bottle from Brewery Creek, Vancouver
Hazy dark amber color, with small compact head. The caramel aroma is mild, sweet, fruity, with some beeswax, perfumy; very interesting. The mouthfeel is not too dry, but lean; good flavor of caramel (it reminds me a bit of the steinbier caramel), followed by a light sweet and fruity character; the hop provides something more, also a light resiny touch; correct bitterness level; the final is correctly bitter and long, but lacks a bit of character.
Good beer, very clean.

Draught at the brewery
Brown color, with small head. Light aroma of roasted malts and cardboard. The mouthfeel is weaker than usual Porter, it has mild flavor of roasted malt and light flavor of chocolate; there is an impression of milk (lactose-like); the bitterness seems lower than the given 33 IBU.
Still simple, but not bad.

Hazy dark amber color with compact head. The aroma is a bit musky; round but lean mouthfeel; good caramelly malt flavor, but a bit too chewy, and hence hiding some of the hop qualities; strong bitterness, quite strong hop resins, but also a bit fruity.
I enjoyed other batches more than this one.

Hazy orange-golden color with medium sized creamy head. Powerful fruity hop aroma, some jam, also very light butter; bag of hops, a bit sweaty and feety. The mouthfeel is round but quite lean; the malt flavor is very good, with accents of fudge and toffee, moderate sweetness, and then a very strong yet perfectly integrated bitterness, carrying plenty of hop fruity goodness and piney resins; there is maybe still a trace of butter.
Besides the possible diacetyl minor flaw, it’s a very enjoyable beer.

Amber color, darker shade, hazy, with creamy head, quite persistent. The aroma is interesting, very hoppy-forward; initially fresh fruity and zesty, with some citrus fruits; then an earthy and sweaty component joins in. The mouthfeel is quite dry; flavor of malt and toffee, quite strong, turning into some caramel later; the hopping is strong, with powerful bitterness and bold aromatic components; a lot of piney resins, citrusy fruitiness, bergamot, and medium earthy character too (soil and yeast). Long final, with tongue-scraping hop resins.
Powerful, still a bit rough, but with some fresh and fruity components.
