Bottle. This beer was slightly infected. 6-2-4-2-9 Frothy lightbrown good fully deminishng head. Ugly brown muddy colour. Heavy malty nice aroma with honey notes. Alsa not so good flavor. Acetic and messy. Average finish. Oily palate but way too fizzy. New rating as Hr Skovs Vinterøl. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Amber colour. Moderate malty ansd hoppy aroma.. Light sweet and bitter flavor. Strong kandis notes. Oily palate 6-2-6-3-12

Clear dark brown with medium short lasting head. Aroma has roasted malt and liquerice. Flavor is sweet with roasted malt, liquerice and and coffee. Ends light bitter.

50 cL bottle, at Den årlige ølsmagning i Valhal. Pours golden orange and with a little dense off-white head. Aroma is nicely spiced, solid fruity note from the hops. Smooth caramel malt base with a little spice edge to it. Ends with a slight herbal honey like note and more of that spice/caramel malt blend. Mild bitterness.

50 cL bottle, at Den årlige ølsmagning i Valhal. Pours golden orange with a quickly diminished off-white head. Aroma is mouldy, slight sour apple-ish. Flavour is sweet malty, nice caramel note and the lime flavour appears over and to the back of the tongue. Slight honey herbal like note into the finish. I don’t doubt that this goes great with fish and on a hot Summers day.

Very dark color, with dark red shades; big head. Caramel aroma, with some hop, even a bit fruity. Full mouthfeel, good caramel flavor, malty, a lot of sweetness (what I need tonight), balanced by some roasted malt (not too much) and a good hopping. A good English Barley Wine, sweet, fruiter. A kind of beer that I like.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Thomas_E. Hazy, amber golden with a beige head. Aroma of fruit and caramel. Medium body with notes of exotic fruit and perhaps also a little coconut. There’s a vague underlying acidity all the way through making me believe that this is slightly infected. 281207
