Pours hazy gold into a tulip. White head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Caramel and hay aromas. Sweet hay and tart citrus upfront turning to marshmallow in the medium length finish.

Cask (gravity) @ GBBF 2013, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Notch Left of the Dial ].Unclear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, orange - citrus, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity, orange, hopy, riped fruit, mango. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130813]

Draft @ The Ale house. Gold with an amber type hue when held to the light, not completely clear. Decent head retention that had spotty lace down the shaker glass. Hints of citrus, weak pine and grain.
The flavor is citrus rinds or oranges and grapefruit with a somewhat balanced malt backbone. The body is thin with a watery texture. Very light. Caramel / toffee malt kind of subdues the hop profile. Low bitterness that ends abruptly. Really nothing wrong with it but I enjoyed the Victory Hop Ticket I had before it, much more.

16 ounce draft at Row 34 poured into a standard pint glass. Pours black with ruby brown hues and a light tan head, maybe half a finger. Decent lacing. Aromas of sweet and bitter malt, caramel, cocoa, light wheat. Tasting notes of cocoa, coffee, roast, dark chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish, medium carbonation. Pretty interesting and tasty, very enjoyable.

Clear orange-golden body has just a touch of chill haze. White head atop is small and shows moderate to moderately low retention.
Sweet, lightly toasty and creamy-like malts in the nose are joined by soft Belgian yeast esters and floral, very mildly spicy hops. Peach and starfruit moreso than banana and orange, which is a nice change of pace.
The flavor has more maltiness than a typical Belgian saison of this strength, but the flavor is bready, sweet angel food cake and mixed well with the soft, lightly fruity esters. Lightly herbal/spicy hoppiness in the background helps clear the palate on the finish and prepare for the next sip of this very drinkable beer. More citrus as it warms and some light caramel malt sweetness. Carbonation is a little unfocused; rather large-bubbled and loose, but it certainly helps accentuates the malt, which is delicious. And it’s not like the beer is overly sweet or anything, just more malt forward/focused than your typical farmhouse ale. A nice change of pace and still very drinkable.

It pours a straw gold, looks slightly hazy, forms a 2 finger head of foam and again, great lacing.
It smells yeasty, spicy with cloves etc, wheat, all of the goodies I expect from a Saison.
Could the tastes ever be more true to smell than this? lol. Yeasty, spicy...second pour brings a stronger haze and that can me even more flavour judging from my past experiences with the style.
The spice and yeast rule this sucker and it even has a mild hop flavour if you’re into Saisons with that trait.
The mouthfeel is perfection for the style, imho.
This is a wonderful Saison and the fact that it is only 3.8% abv is icing on the cake.

A huge billowy head of foam sitting on a medium golden brew, there’s lots of nice lacing.
I get a flowery type of hop aroma backed up by some grain and a bit of sweet malt.
The taste is gracefully balanced with notes of caramel and grainy malt and a flowery hop flavour. A light presence of earth shows up after a few sips in. Dang, this is good.
On the light side of medium bodied with a bit too much carbonation for my liking else the mouthfeel
would be great.
This is one heck of a good session ale at 4.5% abv! Highly recommended.

This pours a pale gold with a 1 finger head of foam and again for a Notch beer, some very good lacing.
Aromas of spicy herbal hops are at the forefront. I get just a tad of a malt smell...bread? Maybe biscuit?
Wow, another brew with some great balance. Yeah, it’s biscuit for the malt profile, the hops are herbal alright, just a nice crisp spiciness that doesn’t go over the top. Swishing the beer in my mouth to get the ultimate experience of what a brew has to offer, I’m amazed that THIS is what I get in a 4% abv brew made in the US.
Nice lightish mouthfeel, the drinkability, at least for me, is through the roof.
