A well-laced, dense white head on a light straw body. The nose is fragrant with tropical fruit and ripe grapefruit. The taste profile is light and subtle, but with fresh and juicy fruit elements. Litchi, melon, kiwi and green apple along with ripe melon are all there. Bready malt with a touch of honey as well. The body is slightly thin. The tastes sustain nicely. I'm in!

Clear Copper pour, big off white head. Aroma is very subtle and soft. Light citrus, some yeast and light cereals. I’m it getting the huge hop dose they claim on the bottle. Mouth feel is nice, carb is very active. Finish is slightly sweet, low bitterness, dry and clean. Light citrus.... Not much else. Pretty boring really.

Olfactif miellé, orangé, avec une empreinte maltée légèrement biscuitée et caramélisée, le tout, sur un léger fond sauvage, laissant passer des notes florales et herbacées en sourdine. Une énorme mousse s’installe et persiste sur un liquide doré, voilé et fortement effervescent. Très légèrement acidulée en bouche, elle présente un caractère malté et miellé évident et une petite chaleur d’alcool réconfortante. Le boisé est également bien perceptible et s’accompagne de légères notes d’orange et de marmelade. Le caractère sauvage est bien en soutient et accompagne la finale doucement herbacée et alcoolisée. On déplore cependant l’absence de caractère épicé et l’amertume restreinte. Assez agréable. Le miel donne une toute autre dimension à cette saison légèrement sauvage. Aromes céréaliers et phénoliques avec accents forestiers. Notes de céréales, de poivre de clou de girofle, de conifères et de verdure. Mousse énorme et bien crémeuse sur le liquide jaune verdâtre, voilé et fortement effervescent. En bouche, c’est vif, pétillant avec de beaux accents forestiers. Conifères de la forêt boréale, poivre, clou de girofle, houblons herbacés en finale, l’équilibre entre la saison et le Kwe est tout à fait juste. La carbonatation est très efficace et se rapproche des saisons Belges traditionnelles. Je raffolais déjà de ce tonic Kwé avec des gins artisanaux, mais le mélange bière saison et tonic est vraiment impressionnant. Absolument savoureux. O:7.67 V:4.75 G:7.85 C:4.5 G:16.5 T:41.27

A really dark brown colour with some copper highlights, a warm beige frothy head, good stay and some foamy lacing. Aromas of grassy hops over roasted barley, hints of dark fruits. The taste shows the roasted malt base with some herbal hops notes, even giving a touch of minty freshness. All-around, an easy-drinking stout that has a touch more hops.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large size brown foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of chocolate notes with some espresso notes with light bourbon notes. Taste is a mix of chocolate notes with espresso notes with light bitter notes offset by bourbon notes with light vanilla. Body is average for style with good carbonation. Good coffee stout but bourbon notes are not as dominant as I was expecting.

75cl Fles als Stout Impérial Russe Espresso. Veel dank Harmen! Smaakt oud, licht geoxideerd, komt al wat papiersmaak doorheen, chocolade, koffie, vrij plat en weinig koolzuur, harde gebrande aroma's, inkt, ondanks dat ie over zn top is nog best smaakvol. Medium body.
