Bottle shared thanks to Mrk. Hazy orange golden with some floaters. Peach, worst honey, massive alcohol, gin, wodka, vegetables, marzipan. Quite sweet with alcoholic bitterness. Full bodied. Not very good.

33cl, BB 12/2020.

20/II/17 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: n/a (2017-191)

HUGE GUSHER ALERT! Went flying everywhere, all over the table, notebooks, people sitting at the table, lamp above the table. Goddammit Gaverhopke, just when I though you had your shit together again, the infections start all over again. Seriously...
Clear pale orange to blond beer, small irregular head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, banana, hint of vanilla, not bad actually... MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet and sugary, lots of yeast, ripe banana. Aftertaste: unpleasant bitterness, sugary, bit yeasty. Average flavour.

Bottle split between eugene and me . Pours unclear brown, muddy. Smell is malty, sweet. Taste is sweet, Sugar, some dark malts. Very aromatic, dark sugars. Simple, very simple. no doubt that this is not the level of quality we should go for. Yet, like a guilty pleasure, I must admit I really like this one’s taste. it reminds me of White pony - high ABV beers. Sweet, simple, but just... good in a way. Is it coincidence this is from the same time as they did brew white pony ? Did they use his recipe’s, where they inspired by them ? Anyway, this is probably my prefered beer of gaverhopke so far. If the quality would be higher ( more natural, less simple ) others would agree with me, perhaps :)

330 ml. bottle sampled. Joint purchase with Kraddel. Murky dark brown, little tanned bubbles. Nose is rotting fruit, alcohol, vinegar, spoiled berries & excessive sugar. Taste is just awful, boozy in the worst fashion, vinegar, rotting berries, spoiled malts coated in excessive sugar, chemical with lots of glue. Body is chemical glue, rotting candy & alcohol. Really awful, zero desire to drink this unpleasant mess pass a few sampling sips. More real rubbish from this brewery. Others could manage drinking it somehow.

Pours rather uncear, amberblonde. OK white head. Smell is yeasty, high on the overripe fruit characteristics. Taste is very off... Boiled vegetables, bit plastic features. mild bitterness. Previous rating mentionnes sourness. I don’t get the sourness, but I guess I understand what he means. the quality here is just not OK...
