33cl bottle from Prik & Tik Dranken Marlou. F: medium, off-white, average retention. C: amber, hazy, opaque. A: malty, cardamom, orange, bit yeasty, caramel. T: medium to full malty base, bready, bit orange, cardamom, bit yeasty, vaguely fruity, bit vegetables, medium carbonation, not good balanced beer, drinkable that’s all.

Many thanks for this beer to Jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com). mocne rozczarowanie, bo symfonia Bethovena to to nie jest. jest za slodkie, mulace, ciasteczka jakies, zamulajace. malo jak na IPA, za malo wyszlo z nachmieleniem i rownowaga miedzy slodowoscia, a goryczka, wiem ze to belgijskie wiec musi byc glownie slodowe no ale koledzy bez przesady. Zle piwo.

A delivery from Belgian Happiness of a 33 cl bottle containing Den 12. My good fortune to get another quadrupel to try. Out of the cabinet comes the Straffe Hendrik snifter for this sampling. The body is mahogany brown while the head is a thin distribution of of fawn-tan foam. I like the scent, dates, raisin bread and toffee. I follow with a drink. I like this also. Dense fruit cake with figs, oranges and pecans, sorghum, caramel, dark cherries and a small bitterness at the end. I can determine the alcohol in the background. Better than anticipated and that is good.

Backlog January 2010. Unclear orange body under a small white head. Aroma of sweetish malt, salvia and anis. Taste is sweet malt, white sugar and licorices. Not great but quite original and there is something going on making in interesting enough.
