Mild gusher. Murky amber beer with a big fluffy pale cream colour head. Light creamy nose, slightly nutty. Airy palate, just modest fine carbonation. Sweetish malts with ephemeral cream. Mild spice. Slightly stale dried fruits. Dry finish. Clunky but passable.

Sehr stark karbonisierter Antrunk mit voluminösen dunklen Hopfennoten. Blumig, etwas hefig, steigende Herbe mit nussigen Noten. Rund, minimal alkoholisch. 6/11/9/9/9/9

Pours clear yellow, untill the yeast kicks in and makes it look like orange juice... with a small white head... Smell is very weak. I get hints of malts, as a reward for an intense search. Taste is bit grainy, in a fun way. It really has a bite to it, a bit like popcorn. To the sweet side, but not too much. Mild bitter touch. Buttery aspect ( of which Im not sure it should be in there ) . All and all, not a bad beer. But Im not amazed.

330 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 11/2016. Pours hazy/cloudy dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, red grape, caramel, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate, pepper, clove, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt notes; with good strength. Taste of big raisin, plum, fig, cherry, red grape, caramel, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, light chocolate, pepper, clove, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Fair amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, red grape, caramel, toast, brown sugar, brown bread, pepper, clove, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice robustness and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a very smooth, moderately creamy, and lightly slick/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian strong dark ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast and dark/bready malt flavors; and very smooth to drink for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

330ml Bottle - Amber in colour. Hops, perfumed soap and sultanas in the aroma. Floral and moderately hoppy taste with notes of peach, syrup and apricot.

Bottle @ home. Cloudy orange colour, creamy white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet fruity with notes of peach and banana. Some caramel and sugar also. Bitter finish. Balanced. Not bad at all.

Clear orange beer, creamy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: citrus, bit metallic, some exotic fruits, pineapple. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: sweet malty start, bit sugary, some citrus, peach candy. Aftertaste: sweet, sugary, some citrus, grassy, some hay, sweet malts. I got a feeling that they made the new version WAY less bitter than the previous versions. Maybe it was too bitter for most of the ladies during the woman only tastings? Too bad. This one's way to sweet for my liking.

75 cl bottle, Belgoklubben. Hazy yellow, white head quickly dissitpating head, leaving no lacings. Aroma is citrus, flowers, yeast, grains. Taste is carefully citrus at first, then slight orange and yeastiness and just enough malt character that doesn’t invade the freshness, slight bitterness toward the end which also is dry and lightly spicy. Light to medium body, low carbo, smooth texture. More of a belgian wit to me, still, good! Serves as a perfect beer in the summer.
