Bottle at Billy's 40th birthday celebration. It pours lightly hazy dirty blonde with a small fluffy white head. The aroma is musty, funky, lemon, lime, orange sherbet, white grape, gooseberry, funky, barnyard, pineapple chunks and soor plooms. The taste is firmly dry, tart, puckering, zingy, some bright acidity, pineapple chunks, lemon sherbet, granny smith apple,.white grape, gooseberry and a touch of minerality with a dry oak finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Lovely combo.

750mL bottle at Grote Dorst, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is loaded with the omija—tons of pepper, olive kalamata brine, herbal tea—and a touch of earthiness. Flavour is very peppery, bringing out a nice juicy plum character that blends pretty well with the weird Korean fruit—peppery, spicy, and earthy. There’s some funk too, but this is driven by the juicy plums and peppery character. Very good, unusual lambic.
