Can from Chez Ben. Possibly a new version ABV listed on the can as 7%. Hazy dark amber with a small off white head that fades quickly to a sheet leaving spotty lace. Nose is pine forward with some tropical fruit, citrus and grass along with a good dose of caramel. Light caramel sweetness with a big pine, grapefruit and grass bitterness. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. 8/3/7+/4-/15

473mL can. Pours very dark brown with a thin beige head. Aroma has a ton of roasted malts and coffee, toffee malts. Flavour has a very similar profile; excellent roast. A bit light for an imperial stout, body is a bit thin, but would make a solid american stout.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 2021/03/08). Dark brown with minimal light beige head. Drip coffee on the nose, coconut and mild chocolate on the taste with a medium bitter roasty finish. Simple, not especially complex, but hits on the flavour notes. Decent.

Medium brown, not much head. The aroma is basically all coffee. On the palate it's roasty and bitter, but also fairly thin. Nutty, a bit green. Boozy finish, and it's not even that strong. This comes across harsh and unrefined.

473mL can, pours a deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma has some dusty, dry cocoa powder, some earthiness, and toasted malt. Flavour is very light for an imperial, with dry cocoa, a hint of coconut, and earthy toasted malt. Extremely thin-bodied even for a regular stout, but the flavours are pleasant. Nothing wrong here, just pretty underwhelming.

Aromas of burnt coffee grains, smoked wood, roasted malts and eventually - some mild hop grassiness. Brown colour with ruby-copper highlights, and warm-beige head, decent stay and nice creamyish lacing. The mouthfeel is smooth, then tart from the coffee appears on the tongue and hoppy dryness lingers. Burnt barley, coffee flavours with a touch of hops. A pretty decent coffee stout for 4.5% ABV. and good for Mononc'.
