Bottle, via Eebria. Clear, very dark, reddy brown. Halo and film of tan head. Sweet, grainy malt. Hint of liquorice. Hint of chocolate. Not overly appealing. Taste is dry, and very light tart. Thin mouthfeel. Finishes a bit tart.

Bottle at home, 26th October 14. Pours jet black. Aroma roasted malts, slight liquorice, a touch of leather. The taste is rich, bitter, and dry, roasted, toasted malts. Good imperial Stout

Bottle at home, 26th October 14. Aroma is bitter citrus, and alcohol, some musky hops. Taste is bitter hops, some citrus pith, alcohol is present with some burn, the hops are not so aromatic, probably English hops, it tastes like an extra strong, English, hoppy bitter. OK DIPA, had much better

Lightly hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Light dry pale malts, touch of cream. Floral bitterness leads to a dry finish. It’s okay but there is no hop fruits here at all and there is a very long list of IPAs I would drink ahead of this.

Bottle. Eebria. Clear amber. Thick, bubbly, sticky, white head. Thick, syrupy, fruity aroma. Some Amaretti booziness. Taste is pretty dry. Palate manages to be slick, but thin. Finishes dry and bitter. Not my cup of tea.

Bottle at home in London - sourced from the brewery via Eebria. This was a bit of a gusher. Not hit the ceiling intense, but the stuff oozed aggressively from the bottle immediately upon opening and I lost about 200ml - some of which made it on to the dining table and some on the floor - before the gushing stopped. The beer is actually pretty good, not infected or anything. It pours clear, reddish brown with a creamy beige head that quickly fizzles away. Lots of bready malts in the aroma, some pleasant, semi-ripe berries, toffee. Medium sweet flavor with nice brown bread, some caramelised sugars, plum, cherry raisin, minimal bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet and bready on the finish with further ripening fruits, berries, plum, moderate toffee and caramel, just suggestions of leather and earth. I actually really like this one. It’s kind of like a session port of something. Shame it gushed.

Bottle, via Eebria. Clear, dark red. Halo of light brown head. Sweet blackberry. Rum truffle chocolate. Taste is milk chocolate sweet. Some cocoa dryness. Light, vine fruit seed, tannic bitterness. Thick, bonfire toffee sweetness on the lips. Smooth, creamy palate. Finishes with more of the rum truffle thing. Very tasty. Silky smooth.
