Bottle from the LCBO. Mostly clear medium gold with a large rocky off white head that lingers and leaves lots of lace. Nose is toasty malt with some lighter citrus and pine. Medium light toffee sweetness supports a lighter bitterness with a slight tang lurking in the background. Medium mouth with soft carbonation. Decent English style IPA.

Enjoyed at the Loon. Pours a hazy light-golden colour with a white cap. Sweet malt nose with hay notes. Fruity malt taste with grain and grassy hops. Hints of coconut (from the oak, usually vanilla) and caramel in the finish with good bitterness. Dry mouthfeel. I was not expecting that much hop bitterness from a blond ale. More like a pale ale, but still pretty good.

Dark brown. Thick, frothy head. Aroma is chocolatey, almost meaty. Similar flavour. I guess with more chocolate and a touch of earthiness as the finish starts to dry out.

Slight haze, has a mix of pine & grapefruit in the nose. Has a rich bitter hop character, bit of citra but also a bit of butter. Lean, dry finish is really appetizing. The diacetyl lends it a bit of Britishness in an otherwise very American beer. But it would be better w/o the diacetyl.

Man do I live close to this brewery (at least for a couple of more months) and I’ve never been. I always get waylaid by Indie Ale House. (Mmmmm sweet Indie.) But when they show up at the LCBO (which is farther from my house than the brewery) I have to buy one. Hope it inspires a walk over. Pour from a can into the proper Junction Glass (one of only two branded glasses I own.) Golden with a white head, that reduces to a dense sheet with a little lacing. Really light on the nose, malts and just a little indiscriminate hops, a touch of corn syrup. Taste is similar to the smell, hay malts, bitter hops, and a little corn syrup again. The bitterness hangs around. Doesn’t impress.

A hazed blonde ale with a thin white head. In aroma, light biscuit malt with grassy hops, light citrus pulp. In mouth, nice biscuit malt with grassy citrusy hops, light British hops, nice and smooth, wheat, nice. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2014.
