A pure white head with solid lacing on a light straw body with obvious effervescence. The nose is understated but fresh, with lemon juice, orange and spice notes. An easy drinking blonde ipa. Slightly rindy, fresh citrus hops lead with grapefruit, lemon and orange elements. Sweet smooth bready malt, cardamom and pepper. A slightly astringent aftertaste.

Older can found in my stash, still showing good. A dark brown colour with ruby highlights, a frothy light mocha-coloured head, decent stay and lacing spots. Roasted malt aromas with the dates adding a little fruitiness, some light coffee and chocolate notes. The mouthfeel is smooth, slick, a little oily with some nice drying finish that cuts the thickness - so not syrupy. Good flavours of roasted barley with some molasses touch, mild coffee, hints of dates and cherries. I was expecting this one to be really sweet, so was putting it off, but it goes down quite nicely.

Hazy orange, medium white head. Musty cereals, musty pine resin, not very pleasant. Mouth feel and carb are solid. Low to medium bitter, musty, muddled mess. Old wet cardboard cereals, oxidized Hops. This has to be old.. Not sure it was any good fresh either.

Aroma is vanilla, citrus peel, and light tropical fruit. Tastes artificial, a little weird, a tad astringent.. Medium bitterness, light coconut, vanilla and pineapple notes.

Tap at le pub chez gibb. Very malt forward, big caramel toffee notes, with some light grass and skme wet paper, and earthy herbs. Sweet finish, no bitterness, more toffee, and some light earthy hops.

Can, from the Drive Canteen. Pours thick, and black. Thin head. Looks it's name. Toasty, coffeeish aroma. The malt sugars are lacking, though, so it comes across thin. Lots of roast, not a lot of bitterness, but without bitterness you need sugars, and without those it's weirdly both big-bodied and empty at the same time. This is not that far off, but they seem to be aiming for the character of a 4% Irish stout when this would work much better aiming for the character of a 6.5% American stout.

Agrumes aux notes d’orange et de pamplemousse sur une base de malt biscuit en guise d’olfactif. Perception d’oxydation et de carton mouillé. Liquide jaune verdâtre, partiellement voilé et fortement effervescent. Mousse blanche. Épaisse, crémeuse et persistante. En bouche, c’est légèrement sucré avec des notes de verdure sous des apparences d’agrumes. Les houblons semblent complètement effacés avec cet arrière-goût de légumes verts. On a probablement un problème de fraicheur ici. Encannée le 15 octobre 2021 et achetée il y a 3 semaines en tant que nouveauté. La brasserie a-t-elle laissé aller des vieilles cannettes invendues?
