Sample at the Strange Brew Tasting on 02/18/2012. Pours a dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that evaporates quickly to an outer ring. Spotty lacing on the glass. The aroma is equally hoppy and malty. Medium body with a fruity hops character with sweet malt behind it. The finish is citrusy with a short mildly hoppy aftertaste. Worth the inevitable lawsuit? Slightly above average overall.

Okay copper body with some modest head. Soft aroma of bad B.O. and some hops thrown in. Flavour is a decent 45-minute hop formula with a bit of malt. Okay balance, okay IPA. Just okay. Eh?

Not bad. Strong hops smell, medium body. Overall an average IPA - decently bitter but not a whole lot of character. Has a nice amber colour and head retention’s not bad. Hoppy but not super bitter.

A deep dark porter with a thick brown head. In aroma, a peaty chocolate with peaty notes, molasses and herbal. In mouth, a smooth chocolate with light acidic points, light molasses, a bit light but good. Cask Days, Oct. 30 2011.

Draught at the brewpub as #18 Double IPA. Tastes like a DIPA, so I guess this is it. Piney and caramelly aroma. Almost clear dark amber colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is caramelly with a little pine. Slightly high bitterness. Hint of smoke, probably not intended, but not bad either.

Draught, 9.9% at the brewpub. Mild spicy aroma, coriander. Seemingly clear orange colour. Very small creamy tan head. Good mouthfeel, like a rye beer. Bready flavour, also a bit like rye, rye bread perhaps. The finish is slightly vinous. Late bitterness.
