Beer Number 16 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 12 of 30 still untried. Glowing good-looking beer, some settled fruit, nice hoppiness available, decent.

On cask at West Riding Refreshment Rooms, Dewsbury - Clear pale gold body, bubbly top. Malty, bit of grass and hay, biscuity. Low on the sparkle, this would probably be better on keg. Still okay though.

Cask at Square Bottle, Chester. Pours golden yellow with a medium sized foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s traditional hops in the aroma plus hints of citrus and summer fruits. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture but also a little underlying sharpness. Flavour initially is floral hops and citrus with some spicy hints, but biscuits and mango come through later as well. Finish is bitter and slightly sticky. It’s OK but a bit too fruity for my liking.

Half-pint, shared with Finn. Tiny beige head, close-to clear amber body, spotty lacing. Subdued aromas of bread and ripe fruits. Hints of bread, biscuit and ripe fruits to the taste character. Malt-fruity finish. Just alright. (London, 11.02.2025).

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A bright reddish amber pour with a rim of white head; slightly sour rye aroma; smooth, dry and malty in the mouth with caramel and some red fruit; then a dry finish with a spicy bitterness.
