Small bottle Estery and yeasty aroma with noticeable alcohol - citrus notes if you get some yeast in. Hazy gold, low foamy lacing head. Fruit, light citrus tastenotes with a bitter yeasty edge. Ends on a alcoholic burn. Medium body. Wasnt too thrilled with this one.

Pale gold beer, slim white rim for head. Dry-peppery nose, with a lot of pale malt and grain behind it. Dry, grainy and malty tase, with a peppery-spicey finish. And then it whithers away - nothing there anymore. Light bodied, certain powdery mouthfeel. Strange - like a low-alcohol Duvel, brewed with bottom fermentation, and not fully delivering the spicey promesses.

Beautiful amber color. Very nice caramel aroma, mature. Too dry and thin flavor, loses immediately of interest; just some caramel, a bit cheesy.

Bottled. A yellow beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet malty and so is the flavor. For me the flavor is too sweet - it’s almost sticky in the mouth. [4/3/4/3/7=2.1]
Updated on draft as Belgo Pils made for Belgobaren, at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A golden beer with a thick orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malty and hops as well as hints of hay. The flavor is sweet with a hoppy note, leading to a dry hay finish.

Bottle. Brown with a touch of red sporting a thin off-white head that just clings on. Aroma of sweet malt, sugar plums, and brown sugar. The taste is of roasty malts and cocoa - not quite sachrine, but a tad too sweet. Nice clean finish. It’s a little too roasty for what I’d like, and as you drink the cocoa flavors really step up. Hides alcohol well.

Dark amber. Caramelized aroma is refreshing, with a dose of grassy hops even. Dry chocolate hits the nose and tongue, with sweeter, near cloying malts coming to bear as you get into it.

A hazy orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is dominated by citrus on a sweet background and with notes of coriander. The flavor is lovely fresh with lots of citrus and coriander. A nice beer.

This Belgian Blond poured a light orange colour with a fizzy/spore like head. Lots of yeast scents to this one. With a little orange citrus thrown in. Slight peppery smell. Initial sip was overcarbonated. The taste started out tasting not overly yeasty compared to other belgians I've had but that was the predominent flavour here. The finish was pretty much the same with a palate that had a small amount of the orange citrus and almost a strange continuation of the carbonation. Not a bad Belgian.

The granddaddy of the Belgian Golden Ales. Often imitated but rarely superseded. I love this beer and would have it as a staple if it were less expensive.+++Sampled from an 11.2 oz brown bottle this beer pours a light pale yellow with a huge white head. Light and sweet scent of citrus. Light texture with a strong taste of spice and sweet yeastiness. The classic example of the Belgian golden ale style.
