500 ml bottle, nicked by hand from the rightful owner (who got it as a gift from New Zealand). ABV is 6.0%. Golden colour, moderate white head. Lovely aroma of Nelson Sauvin hops (and probably other NZ hops), notes of white grapes and crushed gooseberries. Light bodied for its strength. The flavour has distinct notes of NZ hops, "herbal" and dry white wine and green gooseberries up front, pine in the finish. Good stuff.

Very lovely fragrant nose with caramel background. Cotton candy, candy apples with a touch of citrus. Really nice. Med full body, very well balanced, moderate bitter finish. Really nice nose and the beer is very drinkable. Excellent Pale Ale.

Bottle, 13C. Black with an inch of tan head. Aroma of dark berries, coffee, bitter oranges, licorice. Creamy mouthfeel. Taste has only just sweet coffee, tar, berries, oranges. Bitter, dry finish with salt and citrus. Any depth to the dark malty flavours is wasted because the hops sweep them away. Wasn’t what I expected based on the label, but didn’t mind.

Crystal clear golden coloured body with a hint of an orange tint and a nice, four centimetre, relatively fast dying just-off-white head. Aroma of grassy and herbal light hops, some pine, a bit of light malt and a bit of a barnyardie funk going on. Medium-bodied; Nice very grassy and floral hop note flavour at first that dies out fairly quickly and shows some light sugars, a bit of yeast and a nice malty backbone that shows very well. Aftertaste is fairly complex with grassy, herbal, floral notes up front with a good malt presence, not any overly cloying or powerful alcohol flavours and a smooth finish. Overall, a nice beer that one should try if you like APAs or lighter beers with a good balance of hops and malt. I sampled this 50 cL bottle purchased from Super Jr. Market in San Diego, California on 06-May-2012 for US$8.49 sampled at home in Washington on 30-September-2012.

From a 500ml bottle on 30/9/2012. Pours a clear golden with a small head. Has a truly lovely floral aroma featuring heaps of passionfruit and lychee, with just a slight piney undertone. In the mouth, it doesn’t feature a whole lot of sweetness, with just a touch of light caramel malt and some distinct tangerine notes. This is more about the hops, with lots of grapefruit and orange and lemon peel in the mix. The finish is quite dry. This is a terrific and slightly unusual IPA. I’m a little surprised at the luke warm reaction it’s got on here to date.

Bärnstensfärgad. Kraftig humledoft. Humlen medföljer även i smak och möter en balanserad maltsötma. Inte direkt en kioskvältare men klart godkänd

Bottle. Clear amber with a small white head that’s soon less than a coat. Aroma of caramel, pears, peaches, flowers. Smells very English. Medium bodied, lowish carbonation. Moderate sweetness with caramel and fruit, firm peppery bitterness with some other spice like mace in at the end. Just my sort of thing.

Bottle, 10C. Remarkably bright clear orangish amber with an off white head that fades to a coat. Hoppy aroma of kumquats, gooseberries, earthy spices, caramel. Sweet caramel, orange and peach, some tropical fruit - guava, passionfruit - , firm bitterness. Spicy with an unusual pepper/ juniper note. Citrus flavours are less prominent than the first sniff suggests. Cheerful and typically vibrant Epic beer.
