Description
La brasserie artisanale Saint-Monon est une entreprise familiale née en 1996, située à Ambly, à la limite de l’Ardenne et de la Famenne.
Saint-Monon beer was born in 1996 in the heart of the Famenne, land of brigandage and legends located at the gateway to the Belgian Ardennes. This beverage straight out of the imagination of the youngest Walloon brewer in, Pierre Jacob, quickly acquired its letters of nobility.
Pierre Jacob is an industrial engineer in the food industry. Nature, he works with and he respects it. His farm is 100% self-sufficient in electricity, the filtration residues from his beers are converted into food for the village animals, organic waste is composted, he works with recycled paper and cardboard boxes.

Bottle. Thanks Leo! My 2500th Belgian beer. A bit hazy amber color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, some sweetness, blossomy, floral. A bit fizzy carbonation. Hmm ok.

Flaska från Beergium. Just passerad BBD. Ok

Sampled @ KBF 2016, Essen. Opaque brownish color, average sized off-white to beige head. Smell and taste malts, some herbs and spices, a bit citrussy and weird. Average body and carbonation. Meh. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Bière des Fêtes on 16 Apr 2012 at 15:26 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 2 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 4. Original review text: 33cl bottle @ home. Clear dark amber color, small off-white to beige head that disappears quickly. Smell malts and a lot of herbs or spices. taste is even worse! Oh I so dislike this: malts + spices + herbs + spices + herbs + spices etc etc. Yuk, drainpour, hate this. Mouthfeel is actually quite ok, soft carbo, medium body. Just absolutely don’t like this at all!
