Description
The history of BrewBaker began back in 2005 - with a small, fine restaurant with its own brewery at Bellevue S-Bahn station. After a few intermediate stops, we set up shop with BGM Berliner Getränkeemanufaktur GmbH in Sickingenstrasse in Moabit from 2013 to May 2019. BGM and Brewbaker have been going separate ways since June 2019. With immediate effect, living beers UG will take over the marketing of Brewbaker. A new production facility is being planned.

Bottle. Darkest brown color with large beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted, milk chocolate. Taste is earthy, grainy, dirty. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Disappointing after the nice aroma.

Bottle. Black, dark brown cream. Rural roast, light wood, old coffee. Medium full, very dry body. Dry roast, licorice, stale sticky on the palate - way too dry. Tart dry, coffeeground licorice punch, bitter orangepeel retronaal, not something you can drink beyond a few sips.

Black with medium brown head. Aroma is sour fruits, hints of smoke, roasted malt, dark chocolate. Taste is dry and sharp licorice with some sour and aggressive carbonation. Dry coffee. Roast. Not what I like in imperial stouts...

330ml bottle bought at Hopfen & Malz in Berlin. A fawn-coloured head to a deep black body, clingy lacing down the glass. Dark malty aroma, hints of liquorice. Chocolate and liquorice to the taste character with a backdrop of berries. Mid-sweet malt-driven ending, nicely roasted. Quite well bodied. Nice one. (Rating session with Finn and djoeye, PivotekaH7, Tromsø 19.02.2018)

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierhandwerk', best before November 2018. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Just slightly sweetish, sourish and quite fruity aroma of rhubarb, lemon, green apples and some wheat. Minimally sweetish, quite sour, rather fruity taste of rhubarb, lots of lemon, gooseberry, apples and some wheat, followed by a medium long, very tart, dry finish. Thin body, quite astringent and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not a very refined example of the style, pretty one-dimensional, not overly enjoyable due to its over-whelming acidity.
